Looks like no Melo til Mon vs Houston.

Cavs played last night and lost. Kyrie broke his jaw but will play with a mask.

Varejao is a beast on the boards uh oh

We still have enough fire power to run these guys out of our arena. Could be abother 20+ point victory for our Knicks but will take a 1 point victory in stride.

Looking for guys such as Felton, J.R Smith and Novak to really step up while Melo is healing up tonight. Would be nice to see Copeland come into his own as well. This Copeland kid can score the rock and score in numbers too. Just needs to find his comfort zone coming off the bench.

Taking home the Atlantic Division would be amazing. It's something we haven't done since 1994 and something in which we've only done 4 times as a franchise.

But the Atlantic Division isn't enough, I want the one seed along with home court advantage throughout the playoffs.

With all that said? We're currently 4 games ahead of Brooklyn and 5 games ahead of Boston. We have a chance to add another game to both teams tonight.

Knicks vs Cavs.
Nets @ Bulls.
Celtics @ Spurs.

Both the Heat and Hawks also play tonight. As of right now we're 2.0 games ahead of both teams. We need to win tonight.

Here come the Cavs, and Kyrie Irving leading the charge, with his new facemask on. He broke his jaw last night, but will play today.

I expect nothing less than short work to be made of the Cavs, even if Melo doesn't suit up.

GO KNICKS!

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

I agree but Jamison was a big part of that success.

This is a team we should beat. In a way, I'm glad Melo isn't playing. Hopefully everyone will be too busy "stepping up" to have the change to play down to the competition.

I'll disagree. This Cavs team may have done harm to our franchise in the past (but then again, so has everone else during our struggling and/or rebuilding years), but they've (Cleveland) never done well against our current team of 2012-2013. With or without Melo, look at our roster from bottom to top; it's a new team. A different team. A much stronger team ala 10 times stronger than Cleveland has ever seen in regards to our Knicks. Melo or not.

Not to correct you, but it's a moot point talking about our losing past when our current team has done nothing but win. We've actually won during our past two years since landing Stoudemire, but we've now developed and built a true contending team. Cleveland as of 3 years ago or even last year, the Nets of Kidd and Kenyon Martin days, Joran and the Bull days etc, etc it's all a moot point when compared to our current Knicks of 2012-2013.

So when I read a remark such as Cavs have always done well against us even Post LeBron... That statement can be taken in so many different ways.

Cavs is a team that can rebound and runs well. This is going to be tough.

Why do we still have the 1995 Cavs logo for the Game Thread?

I can't even get excited about watching this game- wonder how the players feel having to actually play it.

Good move by Woodson, no need for the corpse of Kurt Thomas to start, though I beleive KT would start if Weed wasn;'t hurt.
