You can eyeball his stats and know his TS% would be really good tonight. Hitting 3s, FTs, good shooting % on 2s.

KNICKS with the WIN, baby! Melo dropped 45 on 'em, and J-Kidd knocked down his 6th three-pointer to win the game. Yeaaaaah!.

Let's hope JR is OK. He stepped up, and helped is get the job done.

We have the Lakers next @ MSG. Those chumps lost to the Cavs tonight. Kyrie Irving came back and led them to a victory. The Knicks need to BLOW them OUT on Thursday. Reveling in tonight's win, though. Now those fickle bandwagon Nets can can go sit in a corner and STFU until we play them again next week at The Garden.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Rank your top Knicks games out of the first 21 games this season.

1) San Antonio - dog fight the entire game. Amazing comeback, beating a top-tier team in every sense of the term, improving to a league best 6-0.
2) Miami (season opener) - first glimpse that these Knicks are legit. No idea the success we've had would follow, take down the defending champs by 20.
3) Nets - ****ing hate the Nets! Let round 1 get past us, came back for revenge. Everyone pushing so hard for this rivalry to rekindle - especially within the division - needed this win. GREAT game by Melo.

Just missed: Miami (sans-Melo).

Our season opener felt the best (to me at least). Started off the season 1-0 and on the right foot. Knocked off the defending world champions by 20 points. Played for the city of New York after hurricane Sandy's natural disaster. Just a feel good victory moving forward. Set the tempo/tone.

Our come from behind victory against the Spurs, on the road in San Antonio, was our statement game (in my eyes). 6-0 for the first time since 1993-1994. Beating the Spurs on the road in San Antonio during the 4th quarter; that's when I knew we've arrived as true NBA contenders (not just Eastern Conference).

Denver's win felt really good watching Melo destroy Gallo during the clutch moments of the 4th quarter, tonight was a really good win as well, but our most impressive victory?

Going into Miami, on the road, without Iman Shumpert, Carmelo Anthony, Amar'e Stoudemire and Marcus Camby while eliminating the defending champions by (once again) 20 points.

We were down by 17 before we could blink, on the road against a rival and fought all the back to take a lead (or down I dont remember) then fall back behind by 10. Only to keep fighting until we willed our way to a win at the end. We ARE LEGIT!

Exactly.

Let the idiots fail to update their outlook on the Knicks. This team will keep winning, giving us more opportunities to rub those naughty puppies' noses in their own doodoo.

Mike Woodson is off to the best 45-game start for a #Knicks coach in their history at 34-11. Better than JVG, Riles, Holzman.

Maybe kidd should help you out too with your half a brain veiw, since it's a 45 game record and the knicks have played 21 games this season.

We did it, we're all heroes for a day.

I knew Melo would take it to them.

Talk about flopping though, what Jason Kidd did at the end for the 4-point play opportunity is definitely flopping. He creates the contact by kicking his leg out and then he drops like a sack of potatoes.

Total flop, but it's the flop we like and allow because he does it without making it obvious, he's smooth with it.

I was on the road but it looks like Melo had a career night in terms of points and efficiency. Anyone have a highlight video of the game?

Great Win. Great performances by Melo and Kidd. Felton needs to step it up against the better PG's.

nice comeback for the win, but this is not what a second round or conference finals type of game is going to look like. nets could have used lopez in there as a lane clogger. melo has great form on his shot now that he is healthy. he is noticeably quicker this season so it's great that he is finally in reasonable shape and taking it to good defenders like wallace. last year we would not have seen this. melo's most effective isolation shot is that right low post to baseline spin ending in a fadeaway. funny how that is a more difficult shot than if he were to do it from the left side. he did that on wallace last night and gallinari the previous game. it is unguardable so he should definitely be given the green light to use it when it is called for. you have to wonder about the defense because of how the nets kept it close in spite of the 45 points. the way melo was scoring the ball you'd have expected a dismantling and not a one-possession clutch 3-pointer. a big key to the win was a very high rate of return off of nets turnovers. they only made 11 turnvers but the knicks turned them into 17 big points. our ball movement was also very good at times.

as jvg pointed out, the knicks are a better team with melo at the 4. stoudemire must now come off the bench but as i said at the time of the trade and ever since, the two players are redundant. smart and shrewd posters like tkf have wondered about the fallout of paying a guy 20 mill to come off the bench but all this winning makes the pr nightmare go away.

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%
