Yeah not Kidd or Melo or Chandler but Woodson. He has made these players into a team and he is becoming one of the best coaches at calling plays during time outs. He also is balancing efficient offense with good Defense and it will get better when Amar'e, Shump, and Camby come back.

Woody is the definition of players coach. Not just because they love playing for him (they do) but, because players actually improve under Woody. Not sure if its Woody working them or, for the Love of Woody (let the jokes commence) but, they do/did seem to get better.

Brewer...shooting better now than he ever has
Melo......for MVP-nuf said
Chandler....(possible exception to the rule) arguable the best scoring non-shooter in the game.
Felton....playing the best ball of his career
JR Smith....still hit and miss but, he's doing all the little things he rarely did before.
Hell, even Amare was looking to take the next step after training with Hakeem.

Call it the Woodson effect.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

It's all good except for his unhealthy obsession with JR Smith.

Woodson has been awesome so far and it's clear guys like playing for him.

However...
Brewer is shooting 42% this season down from 49.8% for his career
Felton played better his first season in NY
JR Smith is playing harder defensively but is shooting 37% which sucks

At 15-5 you can't complain about anything as the Knicks are playing well. But, Woodson needs to limit the number of 3's this team is taking. We have a lot of good shooters from the outside, but we need to be getting to the line more. Melo needs to play a little less otherwise he is going to be run down come postseason. The really need Iman back to balance the minutes out. He's the MVP if he can get Amare to come of the bench and buy in.

yeah, I was hoping he'd sit Smith and Play James White. Only to watch as Woody seemed to read my mind at first but, instead of subbing Smith out, he substituted for Brewer

Still trying to figure out how Avery Johnson and his 11-8(4gm losing streak) NYETS won coach of the month

I still give Coach of the Year to Popovich, he's leading a team of skeletons and has-beens to the best record in the league, plus last year if Timmy D doens't get the flu, or whatever the problem was, Spurs go all the way baby.

Immortal, the Pop, the O, the Vich, the POPOVICH

Woodson close second depends how Knicks finish year. 60 wins = coach of year, 50 wins = just another dude

In our last 2 games we have gotten to the FT line more then our opponent, we don't force 3's or jack them up from anywhere or anytime. Since we are tops in effeciency, that alone proves my point.

The 3 ball is the way to go, I'm sure he MDA has rubbed off a little on woody cause he certainly did not have the hawks jacking up 3's at anypoint.
