I think Brewer would have been that guy if Amare was healthy. White is good and plays good defense. But Kidd brings a lot of intangibles at that spot and he really can't play the point anymore.

I can't even get excited for his big shots. I can't even believe the way he was playing to start the season. The guy plays with no control.

Brewer's problem is that he can't shoot.

Too much hate on JR for sure.
But I don't know why Woodson seems like he doesn't want to give White any time out there.
Yesterday was clearly one of the better opportunities White could've gotten to play, and he actually did pretty well the brief time he actually play.
Melo was out, as are still Stat and Shumpert, neither Brewer nor JR could hit anything, and even though White impressed when he played he was still benched shortly after.

Not saying he's someone we should "count on", but I will admit to liking his style of play, especially if it's more efficient than JR has been recently (even though I'm sure he'll start playing better once again).

+1. I was screaming at the TV (ok not literally) for Woodson to throw in some hungry bench players. Felton can't sustain being the 'alpha dog' all the time, and no perimeter player in our regular rotation stepped up last night. (But I loved seeing ol' crazy eyes scoring ... "six points for Thomas, new season high"). I would have liked to see more of White, and Copeland as well.

Incredible? He's shooting 40% from the field and 38% from 3 and that's with his red hot start. I'll give it to you that he's not turning the ball over nearly that much and he's giving his all on defense, but incredible? He's hardly been good.

I would advise optimistic caution with Shump.
