against the Rockets?

one without Melo and one with Melo. There will be plenty of strange games like that in the near future where some team just comes up and bites them in the butt big time.

I could care less about the loss to the Rockets. Rather get blown out than lose a close game we should've won especially against the 11-7 NYETS

The Heat are going to come back strong big time. I definitely think they'll be very, very focused in our next matchup and I definitely think they will start railroading teams from here on out. This was a huge wake up call for them.

All that being said, I don't want to worry about the Heat until playoff time. I don't care about beating them in the regular season. I want to see us be prepared for an all out war in the playoffs with these guys. We know what we can do to beat them so hopefully everyone remembers this and everyone is healthy and ready to go come playoff time so we can make some noise. Don't get me wrong, I'm definitely hyped about this win, but Kidd said it after tonight's game - "this is all a warm up for the playoffs. This means nothing in the end. The playoffs is where it counts".

14-4...

Knicks put up a stinker on the road against a subpar team. It happens.
Knicks flexed their muscles against the defending champs without Melo, on national TV, adding a game to their first place lead (not to mention adding another head-to-head win against a conference rival they may be fighting with for top seeding down the stretch)...

I'll take it.

The Heat just put up a stinker at HOME against a team missing its leading man and three rotation players. What?

The New York Knicks are an imperfect group of athletes who may just collectively implode on any given night. For one night in Houston, they caught the brunt of ridiculous shooting by some dude named Chandler Parsons. He got hot. It be like that on the road sometimes. It will not happen again. The Rockets?

Don't get me started.

Pretty much what both Matt and Earl said.

Chandler Parsons had his one great game of the year against us at home. Houston is a .500 or so ballclub at best. Let's see them do that again in the Garden this month.

We're 14-4 overall, which truthfully offsets any loss we've had. That's unless you expected us to go undefeated.

We're now on a 5 game win streak while looking to match our season best which is 6 consecutive with a win tonight. O.K, so we've lost to the Grizzlies, Mavs, Rockets and Nets, all on the road. Big deal, because we've also beat teams such as Miami twcie (2nd seed), Philly twice (6th seed), Dallas, Spurs on the road, Indiana (8th seed) etc, etc. We've also taken care of much lesser opponents in Orlando, New Orleans, Detroit, Milwaukee, Washington, Phoenix and Charlotte; proving that we're able to handle business against weaker teams without a 'letdown'.

To dwell over a couple of loses is a grain of salt. The future is ahead of us and we're currently 14-4 overall, 1st place of the Eastern Conference and on a 5 game winning streak.

We will have issues against big or quick teams.
Big&quick temas can blow us away here and there.
But we can control this by slowing down the game and get 3-ball going.

That loss in Houston reminds me of Miami's loss in NY. It was clear from the start that they didn't want to be there. The game was being billed as "Jeremy Lin vs. the NY Knicks" and they didn't like it, probably thought it a bit disrespectful as Lin has been in the league for a few minutes by comparison. They just wanted the game to be over with. Knicks still should have handled their business but I guarantee the next time they play they will.
