Good decision for knicks and melo to sit him
he will heal and its a long season. No use in taking chances with the physical and revenge seeking Miami Heat 2nite!

knicks will do fine on TNT game

+1

If its that bad no point in making matters worse.

I'm glad he didn't push himself and risk a more severe injury.

A NY win without Melo would really mess with the Heat's confidence.

Question is how many games is he gonna miss. We have chicago and denver on sat and sun. Man if only he was aware of the 24sec shot clock

I don't think it would be showing much 18 games in. It's bad enough that we are without Amare. Losing Melo for any extended period of time and relying solely on JR Smith will be a disaster. Struggle just to make the playoffs

if its on the bottom of his finger it can easily open up again and maybe even expand despite being on his non-shooting hand. Bets to let it heal unfortunately we prob won't see him til next week if it wasn't good enough to give it a go tonight. Amare took a few days to heal as well

I agree
if it was a lesser opponent I'd feel the same

no fault of the hated heat but if I'm Miami I'd definitely play him/melo hard
the heat defense is a possibility to get Melo more hurt in an emotional Knicks vs Heat battle

Need 100% or close to it Melo ..to play those son's of b_tches

Miami will have no excuse tonite if the game is tight

....so Carmelo isn't playing? Dammit.

I am trying to keep my spirits up, but can't help but think that the Heat are licking their chops right now, after hearing that news.

Hearing this news was a huge letdown, as much as I was looking forward to this game. I just hope we can pull it out, as always. However, the wind is just about gone from my sails about tonight's matchup.

Oh, well. I will be taking my sweet time home from work tonight. No reason to rush now. Whenever I get home, I'll just hope for the best

Go Knicks.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Pre-game prediction: Copeland with his "breakout" game tonight.

This is a house money for the knicks either way. Realistically Knicks don't win tonight in Miami on a 2nd night of a back to back. So no better time to rest Melo than tonight. He might be about to give it a go Sat in Chicago. and its a 4 game in 5 night stretch versus quality opponents so resting your franchise player a game isn't all that bad

I hope he is up to task. I think he will play. If we get preseason Cope we have a chance!

if we lose it wont be a big deal. Its a back to back plus we are missing our two best scorers and best defender
