Pau Trade Pending. Likely will flip him to a non-threat team for some youth. Sacramento Kings would be an awesome trade for both teams.

Other likely destinations:

Toronto - could see it. they could make the playoffs in the East with Pau. They have a young PG and some forwards to toss in. Bargs for Pau?

Less likely since running game and Pau is not built for that now:

Houston - could give up youth, but why would they? unlikely since they are going young

Milwaukee - unlikely since they are going young and fast and Pau is neither.

Indiana - likely destination with Donnie there.

Detroit - unlikely since they are going young and tumble, but have some nice pieces - but would D'antoni play them?

Cleveland - unlikely since they are going young

Charlotte - unlikely since they are going young, but they could make the playoffs in the East with Pau. They need a low post guy. They don't have anyone to give besides Ben Gordon though

Washington - unlikely since they are going young, and have no one worth returning

Dallas - unlikely since they have Dirk coming back, but Pau plays more in the post anyway and could play Center on the Dallas team.

New Orleans - unlikely since they are going young, and don't have the pieces to return

Darren Collison is being benched for Derek Fisher straight off the street. Marion could thrive with the Lakers and MDA/Nash.

Dallas would get Pau + filler (Jordan Hill, Darius Morris, whoever). The Lakers would get a younger, athletic PG to backup Nash. And Marion. He could share minutes at the 3 and 4 with Antawn Jamison and Ron Artest.

I don't know. Not sure if I would give up on Camby but pre-Dantoni Hill was a real spark for the Lakers.

They lose Mullens but not sure if the Bobcats want to pay a 8m -10m per year to keep him for next year.

Lakers could use Sessions and his ability to penetrate with with Dantoni's system.
They wanted to save money, as they are the highest payroll team, close to 100m payroll.
Think it was a big mistake by not spending the extra couple of bucks especially with the way they are struggling.
Sessions played well prior to Kobe returning last year, without the ball moving, and getting less opportunities with isolation plays for Kobe.
I think NOT resigning Sessions and NOT using their MINI MLE for a shooter like Delfino, instead going a cheaper player like Jodie Meeks at half the price.
Regardless, I don't see how the aging Lakers will be able to defend OKC and the younger/athletic team/players in the West, they will have to score efficiently like Dantoni's Sun's days.

Ilyasova has been playing poorly and if they have doubts about his contract, this would be their chance to unload him.
More importantly unloading Gooden.
Both played great last season but have been far from their that this sesaon, with Gooden without a game this year out with injuries.

Channing Frye, Jared Dudley, Wesley Johnson?, and an exemption as they are much under the cap.

I guess it would be depend if Frye is going to be able to play this year or anytime soon in NBA shape.

I am sure Lakers would love Ryan Anderson but don't see why NO would pull the trade without any draft picks/young players to sweeten the deal.
I am not sure where Gordon's value is at this point, as a MAX player.

Gasol/Anthony Davis is a pairing that would both be able to work, and both capable of playing the HIGH or low post.
I just don't think they would be looking to give up a stretch 4 like Anderson.

another highly unlikley but it would be interesting to see Gasol brother's playing together.
I am sure Bayless would work well with his ability to penetrate and hit the wide open 3pt but another unlikely scenario, especially with Memphis's early success.
But just had to put this one in there because of their past history and as skilled Centers/brothers in the league.
