First of all let em say that i was all for getting camby since i felt he would be one of the better backup centers in the league. I have no problem resting Camby for the second half/playoffs but i still feel he needs to get in more minutes in or he will never get in game shape. Anybody have opinions on the best thng for Camby going forward?

Looks like he is in Woody's doghouse. I don't know why. When he did get playing time, he did not look the same. Not talking about from 10 years ago, I mean he looked better last year. He looks really slow right now and that is hard to do in this team.

i agree that if he is not in game shape he shouldnt play much but he has to start getting a few minutes here and there

When you gamble you will have some hits and some misses.
We hit it so far with Kid, and kind of break even with Sheed and Crazy eyes, and miss with Camby.
Looks like normal spread. No complains.

The issue is basically he's not in shape and probably hasn't worked hard enough to get in shape. Our schedule was brutal this past month (no practices in 17 days!) so there hasn't been a chance for him to rectify things. When the schedule eases up and we can actually practice more, lets see if he can earn some playing time. I think he'll be great next to Amar'e, so I hope he earns some PT from Woody by the time Amar'e returns.

The same thing happened the first time he was with us, so I wouldn't start sweating about it yet.

You are probably right but a healthy Camby would be a major plus for us going into the post season

How the hell they got wallace in shape within 2 wks..but camby cant get in shape in over a month.

But like I keep saying..its a small ball league..if your big cant run, shoot from the perimeter..or be a jefferies type big who can guard multiple positions, he's going to see spot minutes..

He will play when he is in shape and Woodson feels it's best. It's not really an issue right now.

Lets panic and trade him!

Lets blast Woodson for not playing him!

Lets talk like we know whats up!

Lets "save" him until the playoffs? YEah, thats it, Woodsons a genious!

Seems like Camby should be at least playing some minutes off the bench as the 4th big man. If Wallace is the exclusive backup to Chandler with Chandler playing about 30 mpg and Wallace playing 18 mpg, then we should at least be seeing Camby play the 12 mpg as the filler for Melo when he is sitting. It's not much, but Camby can be productive in 12 mpg, work his way back into shape and remain in good spirits.

Its not encouraging when you traded a injured camby and ten yrs later you trade for an injured camby

good one. Still can't believe that day. I was at the 2002 draft and was hoping we drafted NENE. Then we do and trade him AND Camby!

It felt awful at the time, then even worse as the years passed by and we realised we could have had a front court of Camby and Amar'e. Now we can finally see that 10 years later! Shame about the age and injuries- but I just need to see it for closure!

I know guys tried to clown him sometimes, but postell had a nice offensive game.. He looked to shoot a bit too much, but the guy had some skill.. surprised he really could not stick in the NBA...
he went to powerhouse westover HS in Albany GA... that school was always good....
