Novac was great vs Milw. But i cant trust him when a team with good defenders can lock novac up.
Thus novac still dont do enuff for dj to offset poor shooting

I knock Woodson /coaches failure to develop bench better who rely too much on the inconsistent first guys off the bench JR Smith & Novacs

The kid Copeland has shown effort to work both ends of court thus a 2 way playa with offensive skills
Same with pg Paublo.

Camby isnt 100% but the aged Camby is much better offensively today than 1st run with knicks many moons ago.
As i recall back then Caucus-Camby was pretty good back then, now ny should work him for his low post game
Occasinal put backs, he already is defensive mind set & need no teachings there.

This is my first time criticizing Woodson for not changing pieces to his 2nd unit to make knicks less predictable
Than the shoot happy Smith & Novacs. Even James White & Rasheed can play 2way & we dont see any schemes from coach other than 3pt attempts philosophy.

Easy to plan to defend 3pt shooters when you know what knicks goin to do 24x7,
*shame on coaching staff

That's true but he doesn't kill you with a 3 for 20 night when he's off.

Let me guess, you're talking about John Starks, right?

And everybody loves the Knicks... SMH

Novak, even when his shot isn't falling isn't as bad as people make him out to be. He's not a great defender but not terrible either and will at least try to hit the boards. The thing is, even when he's off, guys will stick to him helping to spread the floor so, he is useful as a decoy as well.
the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

Right correct! Bonn
But in fairness to Steve whom wont chuck up more shots when he is off, they cant play him more
Since he wont or cant do other things enough. It can be rebounding the offensive glass, or defending
The permiter better since he has height often on few other sf & occassional lesser pf's

I like Him & his passing is good but its not like he or few other knicks are diving for loose balls on D, though knicks are a better defensive team this season teamwise

I have to disagree. He's not the defensive liability people make him out to be and he will actually try to help on the rebounding. His numbers will never be high since he is usually hovering around hte arc but, he's not as bad as some say

Maybe it's me but Novak seems to be playing better D thus far. When he's on he helps big time but even when he's off he helps the spacing. The only bad thing I can say about the guy is why in the heck did he not dunk the ball last night? C'mon Steve you're 6'10!

Kidd will help Novak find his shot when he gets back. I'm not very concerned at this point.

When Novak rushes his shot, he hits maybe 20% of them. You can have a pretty good idea from his release whether it's going to go in. It's amazing he can shoot as well as does when he's rushing -- it's about as quick a release as you'll see -- but it's not a percentage play, unless we're trying to beat the buzzer or the shot clock.

I like him a lot better when he's not rushing or forcing shots and is moving the ball, spacing the floor and doing his best on D and the boards. I'll sign up for the 3 for 6, 9 point, 3 rebounds in 20 minute nights. As Durzo and other say, the offense flows much better when he's out there because it creates room for the post-ups, drives and PNR's.
