I expect to see Copeland and White getting 8+ minutes tonight! Also, Pablo playing the majority of the second half at PG.

Loosing to the wiz at home would be the biggest set back in the history of set backs...

Dont care how we win just get err done...

Yup. Losing would be the worse case scenario.

Ha, how may times have those cursed words been spoken by a Knick fan over the years?

Of course this team's no different.

Yup. Losing would be the worse case scenario.

No losing and having Chandler and Melo collide into each other and injuring each other would be worse than that.

Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please

via Basketball Prospectus:

Basically, New York has had two different teams this year. The starting lineup of Kidd, Raymond Felton, Ronnie Brewer, Carmelo Anthony and Tyson Chandler has been a dominant offensive group. Per NBA.com/Stats, the Knicks' starters have averaged 124.6 points per 100 possessions, far and away the best mark of any regular unit. Among lineups that have played at least 100 minutes together, it's the Nets with Keith Bogans at small forward that rank a distant second with a 114.1 Offensive Rating.

Optimistic take

Plug one old, wise salty PG for another in Pabloco for Kidd
Plug in one ball hawking wing for another in Shump for Brewer

Hopefully we can recreate this.

Brewer seems like Shump but with a calmer veteran aura and for some reason he seems bigger/more muscular than Shump

Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please

Brewer is out tonight, resting his dislocated ring finger. Novak will start in his place. I hope dude has a career night. He's been more focused on D of late, and has been trying to expand his game by taking some short jumpers off the dribble. Novak might even dunk tonight!

Prigioni should be getting solid minutes tonight as well. He's stepping up in Kidd's absence.

I'm looking for Felton, Melo and Chandler to continue doing the great things they've been doing, and JR Smith to get his groove back.

Sheed will put in work, and we can hope to see players like Camby, KT Cope and White getting some decent PT if the Knicks can blow this game open early. The startes can then have an early night.

GO KNICKS.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

If Brewer is ou(don't see it mentioned anywhere) I wanna see

pg-Felton
sg-White
SF-Novak
PF-Melo
C-Tyson

Good game to see how Novak does as a starter. Played a great all around game against the Bucks

This game scares me, I don't care what our record is.

It's gotta be over by halftime to feel truly safe.

Any team can lose to any team on a given night, so i'm never 100% sure of a win. Still the Knicks have to lock in on a team like this from the 1st qtr and put them away early. That's how you get to be a division winner if not a conference winning team. Show no mercy!!!

WallyWorld and Alan Hahn were plugging for Novak to start due to the spacing he creates on offense. And he's playing d of late as well.

I'm not scared of the Wall-less Wizards. I'm afraid of what a possible Novak start is going to possibly due to the JR Smith psyche if he doesn't start...

I cannot see White starting.

Well one thing is for sure. Novak isn't starting at SG.

I think it is critical to get Novak out there with Melo especially with Kidd out. Because without Novak who exactly is Melo passing off to Felton? Tyson? Brewer? Melo winds up have to do too much.

Still not seeing anything about Brewer. Hopefully he starts at SG

Take No Prisoners Shift du Jour

Pablo - this ain't the Spanish League, gradually finding his NBA groove
Smith - due for a rebound game after two spotty performances
Novak - the other half of The Odd Couple, with the timely assist from Prigi Smalls
Sheed - posting and toasting
Camby - working his way back to you babe

once a knick always a knick

What I've found weird about Woodys while tenure as coach, is that watching the games I always think we're playing flawed, the other team seems to be shooting 70%, but somehow we're suddenly up by 20 points. Hopefully we get to see that again tonight.

I thought the wizards would be pretty good this season, but they've stunk it up- Walls & nene's injury really set them back. Still, I expect Ariza to play well vs us, and I wouldn't overlook Nene or Okafur. Watch out for the Friday night curse too.

I'd like to see us string together some wins again, hope we don't have a let down.
