this guy is not shooting well the past few games - what gives?

They say it's his back.

I say that it's his back and that defenses are collapsing due to the shooters being out (which explains all the offensive rebounds).

What else is new? The guy is not a great shooter to begin with, when a couple of shots do fall, we try to make him out to be a great shooter, lol. Duh! He needs to get closer to the basket.
Marbury is a joke because he's not what you people make him out to be! ya'll know.. he needs houston more than timmy and i don't think houston likes him much(like that matters in a game?).
Marbury should take some games off too to get his freakin back right!

wow young fella, you got some learning to do. Marb is a good shooter. He is hurt these days and his shot is off, that's understandable.

Marb is a point guard and he does need the Houstons and TTs of the world around him. A lot of what Marbury does is get the players around him shot, but they do have to make them.

I also always give the benefit of the doubt to PGs. With teams that have all-star PGs, they are always the first option as the clock gets under 5 seconds and everyone is scambling. Jason Kidd, Marb, Isiah, Magic. All the same.

("great" being better that "good" ) Hey, i mentioned he was hurt. didn't I? But i don't think that Marbury likes houston as a guy to pass to for an open shoot all that much, he'd rather dribble it inside to turn it over because of a lazy pass or sometimes even delivering a great pass to an open muhammed(or whoever!) I also gave you an idea of, teammates don't necessarily have to like each other to play with each other with the question, "like it matters?" ya dig?

Obviously, what kind of an idiot or a hardcore knicks fan, that posts here wouldn't know what a point guard is supposed to do? A point guard's job is to look to dish first, which marb does and i'd like to think, all pure point guards do.(do you think marb is pure one?) silly me you guys put him at such a high level that you must think he is. I think not. he is a confused little bugga foe shoe. shoots when he needs to pass, pass when he needs to shoot, drives when he needs to pull up, pulls up when he needs to drive. good lord man. You people get too wowed by those occasional 30 point games, easily forgetting that he's a point guard that dominates the ball, not a guy that passes around the horn to get the greatest possible look for his teammates. I got to admit, he does have some passing styles up his sleeve but that don't matter if some of the time, they don't even get to where they are headed(turnovers). If he's a great pure point guard as you say he is, the team needs to be a great scoring team, which the knicks aren't! get that through your head, ya big time basketball knower, you! His passing must be sharp most of the time, and his shooting has to 80% better than what he shoot in Chicago, all the time! for him to be considered even a good point guard. other wise, I would just like him to become a scorer, like spree was also offering 3 or 4 assists per game. Let Frankie be the point guard and let that old ass, allan houston, come of the bench, next year.

You give the benefit of the doubt to a great penetrator, a great scorer, a player that has a great eye for finding open teammates, in the few seconds you mentions. (charlie(or kevin ollie or eric snow or skip to my lou) was point guard, are you saying that you would give him(or them) the benefit of the doubt too?) I think of marbury as a pocessor of all of those traits but as i mentioned, the bugga sometimes seems very confused, as he showed in the Boston game at the garden, even the wizards game(thank god he found a way to get that shot off and thank god muhammed was there for the tippy-tap. wouldn't this game have been a total disaster had the knicks not won?)

A lot of people here seem to be in such a dream about Marbury that they start to compare him to the two time champion[isiah], the two time eastern conference champion[kidd], the 5 or so time champion[magic] it is rediculous. Marbury is a gary payton without the basketball smarts comparison, a dwayne wade, a gilbert arenas(he ran circles around marb in that game, didn't he?, i also like to think of him as being more talented than marb), a jason williams, a tony parker. get him out of you head as the best point guard in the league, let alone one of the best in the history of the game(at the tender age of 26), and i'll stop saying, "marbury is a joke". ya dig?
