interesting article.. I think it is no surprise that teams will test the knicks older legs, and the fact that we just don't have any real good isolation defenders... shump was one, but he is out.. kidd in his prime was a very good iso defender as well..

so the positive of savvy veteran play now has a flipside in poor isolation defense, and it took all of 11 games to figure out. and wouldn't you know it... psychologically this feeds into melo and smith's biggest weakness of compulsively wanting to go iso in a tit for tat game.

these two knicks must demonstrate discipline and poise if the the team is to be a true contender.

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

It's talking about the Knicks INABILITY to guard the iso, not the players running it themselves.

It's talking about the Knicks INABILITY to guard the iso, not the players running it themselves.

yes of course i read it-- and then i added the point that anthony and smith will likely end up going iso on the other end in some sort of mindless hero ball retaliation.

Jr Smith is a very good on ball defender.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

We will see more data on this subject today as Nets are heavy iso team.
Not only they have iso players, they have probably 2 of the very best NBA iso guards.
I think we will need to double and take chances with other shooters to have this issue mitigated a bit.
Woody also can pull players in and out to have them fresh. So I expecting very chaotic action.
