Barkley was speculating and this is what most people were saying before the season. He is proven wrong over the first 9 games but other than that, it wasn't terrible what he said. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

Refer to his "Knicks bandwagon" clip. Truly pathetic. He should just preface everything with, "I hate Ewing, I hate the Knicks. Remember the broom? I remember the broom...now, what would you like to discuss?" |

Did he give Woodson any kind of respect after going 18-6 last yr ?
Maybe he thinks the coach can't manage all these vets with their egos ? What he failed to acknowledge is Mike Woodson's ability as communicator. Older guys aren't playing major minutes, but play in spurts whenever their skill set is needed from game to game.

He also said Shumpert is an offensive player who doesn't play defense and because of it the Knicks chemistry will suffer when he returns

Yeah, Barkly makes a lot of sense when it comes to many things and I agree with him on many things. However; it seems like he shoves his own head up his own arse as soon as people start talking about the Knicks. It's very bizarre. I understand he's mad at how the Knicks treated Ewing, but still. He doesn't know the whole story. Nobody does besides Ewing and the Knicks.

This is why I don't care what Barkley says or anyone else from the media for the matter. Although Barkley has been more right than wrong about this team for a near decade.

Game is on TNT, we will get to hear Barkley either beat his chest or say how surprised he is of the knicks and what they are showing so far in the season. Tonight he's on the firing line with Knicks fans !

I think Charles and other "Haters" have had good reason to question the team. But there is still a long way to go. Im not sure we can extropolate the start to the rest of the season. And if Im wrong, Its not because of a post in a thread, its because they actually did it!!! |

I have a problem when people lump Barkley in with other basketball expects when talking about the media's perception of the Knicks
Barkley should only be discussed as its own entity. He knows basketball but his knowledge of what is happening in the nba is about as good as a fisherman's in finland |
