How do the points work.. the other day I picked them to win by 1-5. They won by 14 and I got 2 points. Another I picked them to win by 6-10. They did by 12 (closer than the first game) but I only got 1 point. How is it scaled?

from the score section of the FAQ (it is kind of hidden at the top of the page):

  • If you correctly pick the win/loss, you score 1 point.

  • If you correctly pick the win/loss and you pick the correct spread, you score 3 points.

  • If you correctly pick the win/loss for 3 consecutive games (a 3 game "win" streak), you score 1 point. For each additional consecutive win/loss "win" , you receive 1 point.

  • If you correctly pick the win/loss and you pick the correct spread for 3 consecutive games (a 3 game "win" streak), you score 5 points. For each additional consecutive win/loss and spread "win", you receive 5 points.

so, you must have had 3 consecutive games of correct picks (for the 2 points)
