So with the winning streak we are on, question about Amar'e's return is mind boggling.
What do you think will happen when he comes back in rotation?
Glass always full and spilling. He'll blend right in and we'll be a-okay and winning!
He will ruin the chemistry. It is proven Amar'e and Melo can't be on the same mountain. Prepare for losing streak.
Woody will have him come off the bench. Most expensive bench player in NBA history.
He ain't coming back. Might even be able to trade his H20 contract to another team.
We're riding 6-0 on the back of the cheetah from Harold and Kumar. Amar'e who?

Amare is H20 to me. No way does he start with the starters getting used to each other.

If he bitches the media will kill him and/or he will be sent home.

Spacing is also greatly improved without Amare.

There is a valid reason Stoudemire is silent.

After a failed comeback from surgery, Amare will retire in January.

You heard it here first.

I know this was answered before, but my laziness knows no bounds. If he retires--which I would be shocked by, but you never know!--does his money count against cap?

It's going to be seamless...this team is not being built on a play book where the personalities don't matter.

Amare and Melo kniw what's up and they will be making every sacrifice necessary to win the damn game.

Melo celebrating a 24 second violation are our new Knicks.

We know we can get a stop if we need one...it's all about hitting that open shot.

Offense wins games, defense wins championships.

Let's go Knicks. That's amare

Amare is a terrible defender though.

Amar'e always goes silent when he's frustrated and working his way back from injury- he went silent last season when rehabbing from the back injury. It was devistating for him after working hard all offseason to have a great comeback year, only to go down before the first game. Seems his spirits have picked up since he did some volunteering with hurricane vicitms.

I know people need to desperately find something to be negative about even when we're doing well, and I know Amar'es return will get the brunt of that, but he still has an important role on this team- there was a stretch in the Spurs game where we could have really used him.

This team will eventually start to tire, so it's good to have a bit of a fresh infusion with Amar'e then Shump- Melo's been playing so well in all areas of the game, don't want to see him get burnt out.

i still believe amare is important and should be a strater IF he plays defense. I mean if only the guy played decent defense we would be pretty much unstoppable because we know he can score

History. Melo was thought of low on defense as well..

I'm blown away by Woodson...I knew he was a good coach, but to get all these personalities to debunk the "well, he never was before" theory, is downright impressive. JR, Sheed, Kurt, up and down the roster, everyone is on the same page...defense first, and I'd love having amare pick up the PF down the floor on defense so Melo doesn't have to get pounded on both ends.

They can get into foul trouble defending hard because there isn't a drop off.

Every one is and has bought in.

Just watch the games. These guys are focused on winning this year...every team can be taken, we are built to beat the het (who is their point guard?)...the defense is great...

Amare will be great...he doesn't have to score...

Let's go Knicks. That's amare

we need him. Even in a reduced role. This winning is nice but what will really make this team dangerous is a guy who scores at >50% and Amare brings that to the table.

He's no defensive anchor but he will be fine with this group and he can make plays on defense. I guess some forget all those blocks and big defensive 4th qtr plays he made his first year here. We just need this guy ready to play. 70% of the old Amare could have us competing for a title.

Amar'e is going to fill the LJ role. Except without the A+ post game. Just let the J fall and we'll be good.

This, to me, is similar to last year when Melo was out during Lin's streak and it seemed every sports media outlet was asking if he would mesh when he came back. It got to the point where Melo deferred almost too much upon returning and it ultimately hurt the team. I have to assume Amare hears the critics, but wont make the same mistake melo did.
Knicksfan: Hypocrite league that fines players after the game for flopping but in the game and with obvious flopping they call the fouls.

I'll let Woody figure it out. He has done a fabulous job so far with our team.

I dont know what Amare will give us but I know we dont stand a chance in the playoffs without him. I think Woodson will make it work. Like someone else said we dont win our first playoff game in 12yrs without Amare and his busted hand. Start him sit him after six mins like you do with Brewer to keep him fresh. He should play no more than 25-30mins a game. I think that will be Woodsons plan and we got gotta hope Amare isnt the next H20 or Dice

If he's a team player and this team is one of true sacrifice then he should come off the bench. It's going to be a tough situation of Amar'e's pride and/or Woody decides he doesn't want to disrespect a vet.

amare should play 20-25 mpg. It will keep him healthy and more effective. I dont hate Amare at all i just think he would be a beast off the bench. also spacing is an issue with him tyson and melo

amare is my favorite player on the team...I think it all depends on how this team is still playing by time he comes back.. if we are rolling, He will probably have no choice but to fit in and come off the bench, he would look like a disrupter otherwise... if the knicks are reverting back to old habits, the three ball isn't falling and we are barely over .500, I don't see why he will feel he should be on the bench, I can even see him as being a bit upset that he isn't starting... at that point everything is up for grabs.... it will be interesting to see how this is handled..
