Yeah and people say MDA is not a good coach for coaching a roster like the magic have

At least he is hitting his 3's. It's been better than his career would indicate. Its a struggle though when he struggles offensively and doesnt get to the basket. Love the way the maestro Kidd runs the offense. Such a calming effect!

Ball movement is based upon double teams or dribble penetration. Melo was not being doubled much the first half so he shot and scored 70% of the time he shot the ball. Nothing wrong with that. In the 4th they decided to double Melo and he passed out of the double.

I just thought the defense wholly sucked until the 4th.

Not true..guys where cheating in the lane when he was posting...He needed to make the quick pass and never did....

I agree to a point but its still a balancing act with Melo. I liked his mentality of attacking the Rim though however I do not like pouty Melo even though he was getting hacked. He has to run back.

Wow they still gave up 89 points..that's crazy..great response. I think they play'd hard thru out the game but just wasn't in sync. Magic came to play. They play'd the best they could with the lack of talent they have. I honestly think the Knicks would have blown them out by more if Jameer Nelson and Turk were healthy.

Kidd was so important to start the 4th. Really took control and calmed everyone down. Melo hit a couple big shots.

It's good to win games by double digits when you don't play well. Two games in a row now that has happened. Hopefully they bring their A game Thursday and Friday. They won't win either if they play like they did tonight.

he has been, and i am glad, but he did do that under mda while stat was on fire in 2010-11...interesting to see similarities observed late in the last few minutes i remember from under mda...we shall see...

either way, running two pg's like this has been a wise idea when the ball movement is on..

wasn't too keen on the jr smith show going on too long, but noticed how it ended as soon as his hot streak ended...

my guess is this is a woody move...

They played hard and were on fire for most of the game.

Alright, I saw hard doubles in the 4th and no hard doubles for most of the first three quarters. If Melo is left 1v1 against an opponent and shooting 70% (as he was during the first half) then I can live with him shooting the ball. I don't mind Melo shooting 1v1 so long as he is making shots. When Melo starts trying to shoot over and drive through double teams then I will complain about him.

I'm so glad we have JR on this team man...
Knicksfan: Hypocrite league that fines players after the game for flopping but in the game and with obvious flopping they call the fouls.
