Let's Check The Steve-O-Meter

"Are there obstacles? Sure. Bryant still has more Melo-type skills that don’t fit perfect even if he likes D’Antoni. But with Nash, it will go smoother than it would otherwise. And in Nash, Bryant, Dwight Howard and Pau Gasol, D’Antoni has more talent than he has ever coached.

Will it work? Let’s put it this way – you or I coach this group and eventually they will win 50 games anyway. So if they believe D’Antoni’s system helps, it will help. And everyone will get along. As long as the stars align."

- Steve Popper

“It’s a different feel. We got along well last year, but our chemistry is better. Everyone is really, really on the same page this year as a coaching staff and player, top to bottom. Guys really know their roles."

Steve Novak

Fearless Prediction: the Knicks guards are a strength. Player Coach Jason Kidd devises strategy with the ball in his hands and has everyones attention. What better place to have your offensive genius, than ON the court?

Steve Nash cannot stop Kidd from going anywhere he wants on the floor.

Bring your popcorn for this one, D'Antoni vs his old team. Players and coaches always get up for these type of games.

Wonder if Knicks will debut their Orange Kool Aid jerseys for this one...

Its a big job for a guy whose flaws were exposed in NY. As Popper said, he could win 50 with the Lakers roster. It should be interesting. I know what I want Santa to bring.

Or maybe we're just seeing Kobe Angry Eyes II by Christmas?

Although there is the Italian connection between them... let's see how long that lasts.

Play the games baby.

There is almost too much on the plate. Lin, MDA, Gallo, W.Chandler, Knuggets, Nyets, Rockets, Melo vs every hot player/Small forward in the league, Heat, Boston.

It's not about MDA's "flaws"! Every coach has flaws and what's most important is that a franchise works with the coach to make him successful. You don't hire a coach that you know is a system guy and then not give him the tools he needs to be successful. That's what happened in NY!!!

Now all the guys who said MDA would never get another job in the NBA can sit and wonder how they were so wrong. All the people who focus only on MDA's "flaws" can sit back and watch to see how it looks when a coach has a legit roster to work with rather than a bad one that doesn't fit his strengths.

I can't wait for the Knicks to get STAT and Shump back. We need the extra firepower on offense and defense. The Knicks are in sync from top to bottom, thank God! I have to believe that the Knicks will be able to defend any team in the league and match up well with any team, so i'm hoping for an entertaining game, but a Knicks win.

Right, some said MDA was suitable only as an assistant offensive coordinator just recently.

Instead, he got the most prestigious job in the NBA.

Why he only getting 4 mil a year instead of the 6 he got from Knicks?

BUlls were bidding on his services at the same time we were. Nobody out bids the Wiz, No---Body!

It was his about his flaws here. He was really bad here and I am a Knick fan. Everything that was said negatively about him was magnified here. He was the wrong hire for NY and it went on for 4 years. Maybe he fits with 4 hofs like in Phoenix.

There Is No Such Thing As "Some Said"

"Some Say" is Straight Out of The Fox News Hymnal

The Answer Man Claims It

Q. Nalod - Why D'Antoni only getting 4 mil a year instead of the 6 he got from Knicks?

A. Because Cablevision has more money than God.

Why does D'Antoni deserve so many feature articles in New York newspapers?

I really do think is one of the most overrated coaches around--and I'll point to his record without Nash. However, I do think he's a great choice for LA. Brown was awful... trying to force a BS system on veterans like Kobe, Nash, and Gasol... that would be like Michael Bay telling Robert Deniro how to act. is going to trust his team to do what it needs to do and I'm willing to bet Kobe and Co. have all that stuff covered

I believe the owner and Kobe asked for Brown to use the princeton.
