Were you a fan 21 years ago?

Pat Reilly really changed this organization for the better. I went to game 1 of the Playoffs vs The Pistons that year, and to this day, that was one of my favrite series I have watched this team play. That was a rough one!

(I wish we kept X & Mark Jackson rather than Charles 'Can't Dunk' Smith'!!!!)

Not to compare Woodson to Reilly either....we just seem to have a good mix of players at long last

This could be a similar season to 1991/92, reason being we can actually be relevant for a few years to come. hopefully like then, we can be in the finals 2 years from now.

My dad took me the blues seats during the 1990 playoffs... round 1, game 4 against the Celtics. The Knicks destoryed the Celtics and eventually came back from an 0-2 deficit. That's one of the most vivid memories of my early childhood

Nice My 1st game was April 1991, Knicks vs Bulls. (April 9th maybe?)

They crushed the 'Eddie Lee Wilkens' Knicks!!!

(Edde Lee Wilkens, Greg Grant, & Jerrod Mustaf were on the program cover - eesh!! )

Yeah I was a fan back then. I remember Riley was an analyst and was dropping hints all year that he would love to coah Patrick Ewing and next thing you know Riley is coach. That was a tough 7 game series in round 2 against the Bulls. However, I think we can beat the Heat. Of course back than I thought would could beat the Bulls

4-0 is sure getting some people to the point where even overmedicating doesn't appear to help.

Fan since 1976, so yeah, I remember 1991-1992. The pre-Jimmy Dolan era, and I don't need that book either. Sex with mediocre-looking women that screams is good enough for me.

The book is about men having multiple orgasms.

I learned never plan on having sex after watching a knick game.

I was a fan since 1979 as a young, young kid..... not sure if this could be 91-92, we had a true franchise player then in Ewing and Riley is just a different coaching pedigree than woodson... it was great then during that time, but this knick team will have to forge it's own path. Not sure I am a huge fan of these comparisons, this knick team should want to build their own legacy.. a better one actually...

Fan since 1969, and the first chip! Read Nobody Calls Me Walt Anymore 4 times in a row.

91-92 was great! Only issue is the idea that right now translates to being in the Finals two years from now. Don't think much of our geriatric bench is going to be around 2 years from now. And have no idea who will be on our bench then. Now or never folks!

Still hate Charles Smith and glad as anyone about anything that we don't have anyone on this squad that brings memories of him back.

Revisionist starphuchs Nalod don't play that.

A new era has its own markers on it.

IF this is the "New Dawn" of one then enjoy it.

Don't sell me the abstract starphuch and argue it.

In time it all gets sorted out on the court..........

Last lived in NYC in the early 90s so those years are memorable for myself. Riley was the **** back then. Didn't win it all but it sure was a fun ride while it lasted.

I was born in 1969 and have been going to MSG to see the Knicks since 1973. When I was in my late 20's to early 30's I had season tickets for 5 years. I liked the 60 win team in 1992 the best of them all. It is possible we have one of the best coaches in the league right now and we just didnt know it. Woodson is not a Pat Riley name and he coached an upstart through rebuilding to a 53 win season. He's put a stamp on some old school values of the game in terms of defense and rebounding and put great emphasis on protecting the ball on offense. I think the model the KNicks laid down the last few years following the Celtics has worked--and there has been many a critic--present company included. This is a nice team--Id like to see much more of it--but there is some good stuff here.
RIP Crushalot😞
