"... they are a very good team. They will be one of the most formidable teams in the eastern conference.... and they have Jason Kidd. He will have their broadcasters in a defensive stance" - Rick Carlisle

“I’m not going to overreact to two losses to New York, because I think right now, arguably they could be playing as well as anybody in the East. If Miami is 1, then they’re 1A. They played great against us on both ends of the floor.” - Doug Collins

Damn it feels good to be a gangsta.

If the oldness is a factor, it won't be in the first 5 games of the season. It'll be in the last 15 and the playoffs.

Woody can hopefully use that need to keep everyone fresh and healthy as a legitimate reason to spread the minutes around during the season. Save Krazy Eyes Kurt for the important games.

Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please

I said before the season that with this much depth the age thing isn't really a big deal. This team is built to be able to give low minutes to a lot of the older guys all season. The key will be getting them in full game shape which some of them aren't yet. Then we can take our time with Shump and STAT coming back. No rush for those guys or anyone that gets hurt.

When you think about it, the Knicks were trying to add vets like this for years but they kept getting spurned. This time we got all those vets to come on board and Woody was very instrumental along with Glen in getting guys to buy in and come on board.

the only way this becomes an issues is if injuries really start to pile up. This experience will be great for *this* postseason. As everyone pointed out this offseason--the Knicks are in win now mode. And I'd rather have experience and savvy in this postseason that upside potential to be benefited from in a few years

Pride

“It definitely reminds me of (two years ago) Dallas. The chemistry, personalities, personnel. We were a team that came at you in waves. Same thing here."

- Tyson Chandler

“The message of the night is we’re going to have ugly games like this and we’re going to have to learn how to win them."

- Carmelo

“We’ve had four straight games no one has cored over 40 points in the second half. That’s locking in and taking pride in defending the ball."

- Mike Woodson

Yes, we play defense.

Anyone that doesn't give due dap to these Knicks is blind.

Even bringing up linsanity at this point cheapens the actual gameplan and identity implemented.

This is an actual team, no dominant personalities. It's team defense, move the ball, hit the open man.

All coached philosophies.

I keep seeing "this is a better roster" from people that bashed it all summer.

This is the oldest team in the league.

Most additions either had off years last year, coming off surgery or weren't even in the league last year.

There should be nothing but love going forward and no more : paragraph rants to defend being wrong.

Embrace these Knicks. Lets all just be fans. :-)

Let's learn how to cheer in new ways.

Sheed returning from retirement - showing range and focus. Our very own Uncle Drew, Jason Kidd, coaching and getting choice buckets. Kurt Thomas, with a uniform number to match his age, playing like its 1999. Camby putting the ball on the floor like he knows what to do with it.

JR Smith as John Starks. Will he kiss his knuckles, or the logo at half court? A Carmelo renaissance, playing with no fear, on both ends. Ronnie Brewer double clutching like Dick Barnett from the corner. Tyson Chandler getting in everyone's way.

Jerry Lucas lite, Steve Novak. The 35 year old rookie, grimacing directions to his running buddies. Two reclamation projects - Cope and White.

Is there any better story than us?
