Welcome Home

(Amare can take his time)

Camby is coming off of a 2012 campaign in which he averaged just 22.9 minutes per game. In that limited playing time, Camby tallied 9.0 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game; numbers that would have ranked Camby second and first respectively on the Knicks' roster.

On-Ball Coverage

For those who believe Marcus Camby to be a shot blocking aficionado with no on-ball skills, you're horribly mistaken. Camby is just as proficient on the ball as he is away from it.

A helpful bit of information when you weigh Stoudemire's defensively-inept play.

Second Chances and Putbacks

What is often lost about Marcus Camby's game is that he's one of the most efficient offensive players at his position. He hardly ever plays outside of his own game and is as solid on the offensive glass as any.

His ability to throw down a putback jam is evidence of such.

With a team led by jump shooters, specifically Carmelo Anthony, Camby's presence will be key to the Knicks' execution on offense. He creates plenty of second-chance opportunities, as evidenced by his 2.6 offensive rebounds per game.

Marcus Camby is just as important on offense as he is on defense.

To put it kindly, the New York Knicks landed a 38-year-old who is better than 90 percent of the centers in the NBA. His fundamentals exceed the athleticism of any other player in the NBA and he will play a key role in the Knicks' deep postseason run." - Maxwell Ogden

Did he really say DEEP playoff run?

"'Sup Hartford?"

Hold up, didn't Camby have a 22 rebounds in one game last season?

Maybe he can teach Tyson how a man his size should box out and rebound.
