It was weird how they collapsed in the playoffs- one minute they were unbeatable, the next swept away. Still, people mocked us for being old, the Spurs are proof you can still win a lot with a aged roster, if you play the right way.

Don't discount how good OKC was playing.

SPURS seem to be playing upset briggs, on a mission.... it is still early and a lot of teams won't keep pace...we are no exception either.. heck, look at the mavs they are 3-1 without dirk... that is surprising...

well, they were rolling last year, finishing the season with the best record, if I'm not mistaken.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

Yeah but winning a bunch of regular season games and then flop out in the playoffs..which they have done in consecutive seasons..thats the worse especially if you have a veteran ball club..

i really don't think it was that weird why the lost. they are a great regular season team because they do play defense and they do have a high % shooting offense. the problem is they have no player to depend on in the playoffs. duncan was solid, but he no longer can be the player he once was and that leaves the team a mess in the playoffs. especially against teams like the thunder or lakers who are going to score a ton of points and run with the ball.

Not close to the record. The Lakers won 33 straight.
