From what i remember once the knicks won the birds right case they had about 7mill to spend.

Needs to address:

1. Pg depth - orignally i wanted resign lin (signed for 5mil) and bring in ray (signed for 3mil) as a backup. If they couldnt get either i wanted dragic. *ended up ray and felton*

2. Front court help - they needed to get rid of jjeffries and find bigger bodies. I wanted blatche (signed for 1mil) and dj white (still unsigned). *ended up with camby, sheed and kurt*

3. Wing athletes - i wanted athletes that could play def on sf or sgs. Get rid of fields cuz he sux and replace him with courtney lee (signed for 3mil). *ended up with brewer*

4. Shooters - retain novak and JR *ended up with both*

*overall i feel we addressed our needs but with old fragile players*

Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

The need for Sheed!

There was a need. There was Sheed.

Great topic but one I'll pass.

It is what it is and its time to play.

Ready or not.

The team is deeper and roles should be defined with all in for the coach.

That alone is a lot. If Amare can't play 65-70 games and can't get that chemistry going then was are a one trick pony who will put up great numbers and have a great season but that alone does not take you very deep.

I'd give them an A for how they addressed the teams needs. Adding Brewer, White and Copeland was a very solid improvement!!! Camby, KT and Sheed is again a solid improvement in quality big man depth. All of them are defensive bigs that know how to play. They provide a lot of coverage we didn't have last year. The biggest improvement was at PG. Felton, Kidd and Prigioni is a really high level of competent PG's that we really missed last year. This team is VASTLY improved over last years team IMO. There's no question in my mind that this team is going to be a top team in the league this year with this kind of depth and quality. As the season moves along and they build better chemistry it's gonna become evident just how much better they are.

Before the season finally starts i was just thinking if we addressed our needs. I think we did i just wish we were younger. I hv a feeling our roster will never be fully healthy

very few teams are ever fully healthy at the end of a full season. That's why this teams depth is so key. Very few teams are as deep as the Knicks are this year. That depth will also help guys to stay healthy at least when it comes to wear and tear. You can't prevent a turned ankle but with fewer minutes you can preserve guys to be strong when the playoffs hit.

Can't really get excited about the off season. I think Felton and Thomas was a smart move, Brewer as well. We didn't address.our biggest need someone that can score the basketball. Our was above average.

Camby is already injured like he always was when he played here. Kidd looks like he can't move and we look old, very old.

Celtics added Terry and Lee both guys that should have been targeted ahead of Kidd. We added some depth, but like most Knicks moves they weren't executed with a plan. Very much the isiah approach of just.bringing guys in and hoping they fit.
