Carmelo has nice company.
He is actually the last one in almoust all categories, but to be the last among this group is equal to be the best in any other group...

Yup.
One thing to consider: Those shots he puts up and then immediately knows it's off so he goes to grab the board and puts it back/gets fouled.

That might be bringing his %ages down. Perhaps not the most energy efficient way to score.

I'd like to see him play at the 4 on offense and go to the hole. His quickness will force other 4s to give him more space for the J when it's on as well.

The only issue is that we'd need a unit to help him on D if he's getting muscled by a David West or something.

If Melo plays smarter offense and consistent D he/The Knicks is going to have a ridiculous season.

If Melo had 1/4 of Lebron's athleticism he would be a lot more efficient offensively. Right now he is 3/4's Glen "Big Dog" Robinson

not sure if that will make him more efficient.... it is about a mindset and approach to the game..... now lebrons athleticism is a huge advantage for him, especially when you pair that with his overall skill set... just amazing at times...

lol @ being a poor mans Big Dog....There are similarities although I wouldn't go that far. You gotta do it the other way around and show Melo some love....linke think of him as a souped up Steve Smith

the problem is that his footwork is grossly overrated. he has a power dribble but that is basically one direction and it lacks craft. i guess this type of game is what some call "bully ball." i call it bull3h!t ball. no guile and no genuine craft. paul pierce has great ball-handling and footwork. melo really doesn't and it is a huge problem when it comes to efficiency. i am tired of hearing how he can score in so many different ways. if that were true then his efficiency would be tops... but it isn't.

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%
