Thats why when people argue that Howard is the best center in the league it's so laughable..
They have remove the position from the all star ballot altogether rightfully so..

Did anyone catch the discusion on open court, shaq said howard was not the best center, but regardless to his opinion, the position has gotten so bad..Tyson winning the DOY is kind of laughable as well..

I'm not sure why this position has been down graded tremendously, the position has change so dramatically that you may lose your job if you draft a center in the 1st round, now all the centers are coming from abroad and play like pf, and sf..Is that we stop developing Centers in the US..

Anthony Davis 6 11' sf..

Well if you really think about it every position is kind of "obsolete" or has change from how it was defined in the past. Howard is he best center in the league and Shaq is just bitter and its why everyone on set looked at him like he was crazy.

It's easy for Howard to dominate, who does he have to face on a nightly basis..Imagine if d rose had to face Duhon caliber pg's on a nightly basis, would there be any argument.

The NBA game is always changing, evolving, and systems/teams must adapt to it.

Howard's speed/quickness/mobility with his strength/size/athleticism makes him the best Center in the league.
He is actually 6-10, but is very strong/athletic.
He is mobile like a forward, which enables him to be the best help defender and can recover quickley.
Although Bynum is bigger, much more polished offensively, he simply is not even close to the defender as Howard is, even though he puts up similar numbers with rebounds/blocks they are completely different.

Noah would be 2nd player with legit size.
Not only can Howard/Noah both defend their own positions but they cover so much ground with their help DEF.

Gasol brothers, Cousins, Bosh are the 2nd tier, KG *even though old* deserves to be in there as well.
Ibaka, I am not sure if you can really consider him a C, I consider him a PF more, while still improving and much upside.

Shaq didn't even draft Bynum and Lopez in his fantasy basketball league, although it is a 6 team, 8 roster, and 9 stat league.
Proof that he is just bitter when it comes to Howard, leaving out his "best 2 centers" in the league, I don't even think Lopez was drafted.

Magic Johnson as a 6-9 point kind of started it. Oscar Robertson before him at 6-5.

Few play the high post anymore or lumber in the low. Shaq likes BroPez?

Dwight is offensively challanged and not a complete player.
