He has looked really good and the team looks better when he is on the court.

I love that guy Also he's got plenty left in the tank. He's like Nash in that he's not blazingly fast but he plays at BB speed. His decision making is so sure that he can move without hesitation and that makes him faster than you'd expect. Guys that are thinking so much and not able to process the game as fast move slower than they might otherwise be able to go. So it's an odd thing but much like QB's that can think the game fast they react earlier and can read the D before the play. That's what Prigs can do. He knows how to break down a D and create shots for his teammates. So while he's not lightning quick he doesn't really have to be in order to be effective. Having a high BB IQ and great court vision makes up for a lot.

Prig. is not capable of scoring like Lin. He is also not as fast. Prig is a better passer and ball handler than Lin though. To be clear, Prig does not bring everything to the Court that Lin did. They are actually two very different players and I am not sold on either.

Can we maybe calm down regarding Prigioni? He's a 35 year old rookie that hasn't played a regular season NBA game yet.
Now the joy of my world is in Zion How beautiful if nothing more Than to wait at Zion's door I've never been in love like this before Now let me pray to keep you from The perils that will surely come

very true nupe, but I can appreciate what both do.. lin is the real deal and prigs had success overseas.... I am a little suspect of him because of his lack of speed and strength, but he can pass and should be able to run pick and roll with amare... I hope that works, lord knows I don't want to see iso, chuck ball...

Well, I don't know about Lin being the real deal. Time will tell. As of right now, to me, Lin is an unproven commodity with potential.

As for Prig. I think he will be solid off the bench but don't get all the praise he gets on this board based on his play during pre-season. My mantra, it is just pre-season, applies to all players and teams. Prig actually reminds me of Calderon a lot from the little I have seen of him. He is not aggressive offensively, a good passer and can shoot.

I do not think he is good PG to play with Melo or JR.
He holds the ball a lot and will not give it up early.
This will make our 2 volume shooters angry and they will go beg Dolan and Woody to keep Prigs away from them.
STAT can bemefit from Prigs game a lot offensivly but our defense will be bad with both of them on the court at the same time.
He is another guy perfect for D'Antony type offense.
He is actuly 35 years old Lin.
Imagine they will keep Lin and pass on Felton. This team will have the smartest and most dynamic backcourt in NBA.
Shrimp, Lin, Prigs, Kidd... WOW... Yehhh... Dreaming....

He gets a lot of steals. He gambles, but as it was said before - his gambling will be justified with both TC and Camby manning the paint. KT and Rasheed are above average defenders as well.

The best defensive teams in the nba don't have pg's and sg gambling for steals constantly.

Lin's gone. Let's talk about a probable controversy, Pablo VS Felton. The rumblings have already started in other forums.

WHAT I mean bout lin is that he has proven he can produce on an elite level even if it is just for stretches at a time on the NBA level... I think lin is probably a 17/7 guy, which is all star level for PG's in this league nearly.. I do think lin is the real deal in that he has proven that he can play on this level at a high level... I think that is fair to say...

Prigs is solid, I think he will be better vs other teams second units.... he will certainly benefit from having amare here...

Lets just don't give any brand names to anyone and just root for the whole team. When you start building someone up and they have not really proved anything yet and the season has not started yet it can be a problem with the other players.

+1!

If you are still following the team and reading sites like this, there is nothing, short of your own demise, that is going to throw you off this train.

Both guys look like they are going to play and contribute and both make under 500,000. They also were guys that the organization found despite not having draft picks.
