by the time the playoffs roll around, this team is going to start Felton at point, brewer and shumpert on the wings, and melo and chandler in the front court.

amare is a bench player at this point -- one of the worst defensive players in the league who is redundant in the starting 5.

bench will be STAT, JR, kidd, novak. it would not surprise me if copeland is the last front court sub instead of camby or kurt thomas; copeland has shown a great motor and if he can hold his own defensively, he's better than both of those old fossils.

i know its only preseason but copeland and prig have both looked great. last year grunfeld found novak and lin off the scrap heap. this guy has an eye for talent.

Who starts doesn't matter as much as who finishes and who gets minutes. Amare may still start, but I agree that he should play more minutes with the guys coming off the bench.

It's NOT who starts...

by the time the playoffs roll around, Mike Woodson will shock the world and finish games with Prigioni (leadership) at point, Shumpert or Ronnie Brewer (defense), Carmelo (clutch scoring/ no fear), Camby (rebounding and astounding) and Tyson Chandler ("get that weak ish outta here").

Woodson's sixth man Is JR Smith (Starks). The Ray-Ray (tempo) shiftline includes a forward wall of Novak (outside scoring), Kurt (mid range scoring), and Sheed (at center with the old school defense)

In case of emergency, break out Jason Kidd. Chris Copeland provides comic relief. Amar'e is on IR.

i can get on board with this!

RE: the "its not who starts, its who finishes" that is a good point and i agree. i would imagine kidd will be playing a lot of crunch time minutes for this team. dude has been there before. melo will be out there as well. shump or brewer for D on the perimter, and chandler down low. insert the hot hand as the 5th man. #tooeasy
