Wally just mentioned during the halftime show that he also had arthritis in his knee and Amare's minutes should be limited to 25mins a night. Very hard to grasp being that he is still owed $60mil of his $100mil contract. $20mil per year killing our cap and flexibility. Knicks first said bone bruise and now ruptured cyst but never mentioned that it is caused by arthritis(too much bone on bone) What ended H20, Wally, Roy and Bernard's career. See if Wally isn't fired immediately for letting the cat out of the bag. Discuss...

Obviously the minute limit is a preventative measure.

I'd also extend that to back to back games.

Nalod broadcasts his mistrust and is called "Debbie Downer". The bruise is now elevating by the hour (cool panic descriptor!} but instead of a young player being groomed to fill his spot, we have Camby, nope, he is out, Got "SHEED", nope, he is not ready (this guy just wake up and decide to play?) so now we KT. Hello. Its 1998 again? 14 years later!!!!

If the Nationals can hold Strasburg out of the playoffs when they probably would have gone to the World Series if he pitched against the Cards, limiting Amare's minutes seems reasonable.

the best thing for this team right now is to play Amare off the bench to back up Chandler and Melo, as painful as that is.

difference is Strasburg's career is just getting started while Amare's is coming to a crashing halt

difference is Strasburg's career is just getting started while Amare's is coming to a crashing halt

Dr. MacDonald on NBATV said this is a very minor injury and also said he thinks Amare may play on 11/1 against Brooklyn.

No he works for nbatv. I responded to you in the other thread where you posted this exact question. He said it is a very painful injury and usually lasts around 2 weeks. He said it could benefit the Knicks because Amare has a bone bruise and this would force him to rest.

Did he mention what caused the cyst? Something along the lines of arthritis, bone on bone, body's natural way of creating lubrication for joints? Dangers and ability to play on arthritic knees? Wally doesn't agree and he's dealt with the same and was forced to retire like so many

I know its his bad knee. I read the info posted from the Mayo clinic on this thread. He talked a bit about it but I don't recall everything. Here's the thing, he didn't go to a site to find out the worst case scenario. He is a Dr. that works with the nba and said he didn't think it was a big deal. I hope he is right. I know it might be worse but I was relieved that he said it wasn't a big deal and he isn't a journalist, or a fan researching it to be sensational or provocative. He is a doctor. He said it was very painful but dismissed long term effects and said it could benefit amare because it would shut him down and allow his bone bruise to heal. Watch the show if you are searching for negatives. I am not a doctor and do not feel qualified to over rule a doctor based on stuff I read on a website on the internet.

I see I'm just wary of talking heads on TV. Half the time people are just happy to be on tv and will say anything. The cyst had to be there for a reason imo

Wally Szberbiak not Clyde. Although Clyde has been very critical of the offense outside of Melo in preseason and sounds like he thinks the Knicks screwed up with Lin too

Clyde is the last link to the mythological Knicks for a lot of Knicks fans.
If he will be removed it will be the last straw for a lot of people.
But it is just symbolic. The organization is long time gone.
If Dolan will step out as with Rangers or will sell the team it will take a long time to come back if ever.
