As he prepares for an interview today, Jeremy Lin applied a phrase that has rarely emerged over the years from interview subjects for CBS’ “60 Minutes.”

“It’s a blessing from God,” Lin said. “I’m going to answer their questions and do the interview, and I’m thankful for the opportunity.”

Charlie Rose is the correspondent for the feature, which is expected to air during the NBA season.

i dont think its a big deal. I mean i didnt have a problem with letting lin go but i dont have a problem with his popularity. he is a good kid and had an oppurtunity to have some security

It's a good thing he isn't so taken by the spotlight...

Linsanity was big. people want to see him.

Knick fans got sour grapes on this.

Its not Dole Lins fault actually, the offer was what it took for Houston to steal him.

Sorry he is gone. Gets old for Fans to try to point out his faults. Gets old for fans to think he did not want to be here. He is better than felton. We were "Blessed" by his presence and he had to get an offer for us to match. It was ridiculous.

Lets celebrate his good situation and wish him well.

Yes to everything aside from wishing him well. I hope he does not pan out cause I am a vindictive prick.

Too late - he already did even if he will not play a game in his life anymore.
Huston can be burned for sure but Lin is already set for live.

I agree he probably hasn't earned this... but why do you care?

Well there is relevancy here to many arguments still being carried out on this board...Dude wanted his own stage...He made a mad dash for the cash...Nothing wrong with that...Pointing fingers to the reason this guy isn't here should stop at Lin's doorsteps and no one else's...

As to this getting old...I do remember Knuggets game threads well a year after Gallo departed by those now offended by the Lin talk...Donnie articles pinned up today...Not everything gets old I guess...

P.S....I heard Lin was better than John Wall too...

If you were a limelight hungry player you would want to play at

a) Madison Square Garden aka The Mecca in a city of 6 million people in the biggest media market in the country
b) Houston

????

There's a chance your theory (and that's all it is) may be correct.
There's a chance that all the other theories

1. Dolan = petty idiot
2. Both Lin/Grunwald being caught off guard
3. Melo as grand orchestrator of his world
4. Isiah
5. Worldwide Wes
6. Lee Harvey Oswald

are correct.

No one other than Lin, Dolan, Morey, Grunwald and those who work with them really KNOW what happened.

That includes myself, you and all the other gluttons for punishment on this board.

Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please

Wow, so someone rapes your gf and you blame your gf's loyalty. Houston didn't steal. Dolan gave up. He had every right to Lin's contract but he gave up. Yes this news is retardedly old and I wish people would stop talking about him. I did, but the topic keeps coming back in new form. Yet still some of our fans don't get it in their head. Dolan is a mess, and he will never bring our Knicks to promiseland doing what he does. Lin's departure is TOTALLY Dolan's fault and don't ever deny it or find excuses. Do I believe in Jeremy? Not really, but he did well picking up the slack during that brief time. I'm just pissed Dolan, a BUSINESSMAN, gave that golden goose up for nothing. Houston was damn smart. I bet they already knew Dolan would be a punk and not challenge the offer. Maybe Dolan has too much money inherited by his dad that he didn't care to make more money, but then that doesn't explain the msg network contract mess.

No body hates Dole Lin more than Nalod.

But Remember Lin had to get an offer under the CBA. He did. Rockets new they had to over pay by a lot to steal him.

some girlfriends are not worth it either.

I like Lin a lot and think the team is much better with him. The Ceiling is higher with him.

Its all been said many times before.

ITs Dolan's team, not ours.

Lin could have said no to doing the GQ and 60 minutes interviews. He seems to be letting his PR people run the show....which will surely put even a bigger target on his back with other NBA players. If I was in his spot I might do the same. Then again, with a guaranteed $25 million coming my way, I might just choose to focus on basketball and let the rest take care of itself.

I'm a big Jeter fan. Pretty much took 3000 hits for him to let anyone get an intimate look into his life. Baseball and team seem to always come first, not self promotion.

Poor analogy, JamesLin. In this case, your gf went looking for someone to hit it hard, and Houston did. In spades.

Incredible to see the Nalod actually tempering his generally accurate Dole Lin hate. Shows a balanced approach.
Bodes well for continued meaningful analysis when the real games begin.
