Yea, the season hasn't begun but I can't see him lasting unless he agrees to come off the bench.

So looking around the league I see Monta Ellis as being on the move before the deadline.

This is just humor right?

How the heck are they gonna get rid of him? It would be like trading arod - IMPOSSIBLE.

He has 2 years and 40 million remaining. Difficult to trade? Yes. Impossible to trade? No.

This is the perfect thread topic. The first thing I thought about when I heard he was injured again was I am over this guy. He will never be anything but overpaid. I am down to trade him for a 2 week old gallon of milk. If a 2 week old gallon of milk is asking too much I can go as low as a 3 week old used school milk.

i say do a complete overhaul of our two "stars" and I use that term loosely.... amare to Houston for K mart, I am sure there will be other picks and fillers involved..

carmelo to the hawks for josh smith, and as with amare I am sure there will be fillers and picks....

play josh at pf, martin at sf and chandler at center.. I can roll with that..

You still have to pay him this year. He has 3 years, $65 mil uninsured. Unlike in baseball, we can't eat part of the salary. It's the same as A-Rod - you could move the player but you'd probably be getting something worse.

Melo is going nowhere.

However, Knicks management is going to trade Am are because they can't depend on him in the post season.

I'm talking deals like,

David Lee and Andris Biedrens
For
Amare

Two overpaid players for 1 overpaid player. Plus Lee has an extra year.

LOL and a NixLuva defending Amare about his POST game and All Star status....

Josh Smith and David Lee are 2 players that I think just fit much better than Amare in the starting lineup, next choice would be Aldridge.
With Smith and Lee, our rebounding, defense, and spacing would improve much better with their all round games/mobility and would fit much better.
However, I do not see us able to trade for those players.

You are forgetting how good Amare was in Phx. We just need MDA back to make it work, then we fire him half way through the season after we got the most we could out of Amare.

I think we can get David Lee. The guy is over paid by a large margin. We would probably have to take back the useless Biedrens.

Can't defend his post game. Nothing has been seen.

Its fictional.

Knicks for some are becoming a "faith". Faith is defined an unsubstantiated belief.

Who backs up amare? Skinny "Don't want to" AMelo? Camby? Sheed? KT?

Jeez!

My prediction for the knicks this year was with the assumption that Amare would be injured for >= 50 pct of their games. Nothing has changed here.

David Lee and Andris Biedrens would be a serious win for the knicks, noway we ever get that for Amare......

They best I see is like a Tyrus Thomas & Ben Gordon or Okafor & Nene/Ariza.

That's the only realist swaps I can see right now.

David Lee has 4 years left making more than Tyson Chandler.

Biedrens is GARBAGE and makes 9 million per.

Deal is pretty terrible considering David Lee plays zero defense.

You really think getting a 50% 20/10 guy is a terrible deal for a star breaking down???? Even with a throw in to our guys bloated deal, that's just crazy talk.
