no one is saying to lock down these all stars, I am saying acquire bodies that will make it tougher for them.
Lebron
Durant
lesser extent of Gay
ALL of these players have been killing us EVERY GAME,since from the Isiah years, once they got in the league.
we cannot allow them to get in rythme easily and catch fire with easy baskets.
Wade/Lebron were toying with us and Chandler was helping last year with JR Smith/Fields on Wade and Melo on Lebron.
All 3 have good range, good/great handle/athleticism, post up game, strength/great ability to finish with contact, and have great length.
My point of putting Rudy Gay in there, is just to point out that we do not have a forward with a good body/length to defend them.
Wade/Lebron are insane athletes, what seperates them, is their ability to penetrate/facilitate/handle the ball/post up/ and shoot over small defenders.
On the Bulls, Brewer was used to defend Wade and Deng/Taj Gibson on Lebron.
Deng's and Taj Gibson's defense >>> than anyone we have on our roster.
Of course, they still had Noah/Osik to help as well.
If Camby was younger, I think there is possiblity that he would be used on Lebron 1v1 using his length/athleticism to disrupt him.
Lebron is so strong, you have to stay low to get position, but then he can rise up and shoot up over the defenders.
Offensively I am not sure if Camby would work with Chandler but would work if Wallace comes back in shape to 10-15minutes a game.
Wallace has the ability to spread the floor and post up and is a decent help defender.
However, at their current age and shape, I am not sure if it would be effective/efficient.
Everyone can say what they want about Gereld Wallace but he has a nice size/frame/athleticism to put a body and math up with Lebron.
If Iman comes back healthy and looks good, I would not be suprised if Grunweld moves JR Smith for a bigger G/F like Brandon Rush.
With Kidd/Iman/Brewer/Felton, defending the PG/SG's, JR Smith becomes expendable
maybe even Kurt Thomas back for Jeffries if Wallace shows effectiveness
if we throw in a future 1st rounder, Edoh/Serephin...
