Nobody wants Anderson or Moochie... especially not for young talent. KT is the only one with any trade value to a team like dallas who need defense/rebounding. But offering garbage like Anderson for young, talented players? That's what made layden the joke of the league for 2+ years.

Is stromile restricted? If so, then perhaps sign and trade. Grizz and the logo did a hell of a nice job. Basically a couple of trades, bringing in undesirable but talented Wells and Posey, good coaching, and jell'in together as a team.

I hope we are on that track. It takes some time. Not that I love this roster, but its one that should improve over time and a training camp should help.

We need not tweek too much, and I hope next season there are not nearly the changes during the season.

It takes a trio of star caliber and good role players. If we can convert KT in a deal to bring in Sheed, that would be good. Sheed at 8 mil a year might do it, but we need sign and trade. Im ok with Vin and Nazr at center, so long as we can get a project big man in the draft. I would hope we can procure a low first rounder and grab a high school kid whom fell, or a Euro monster and let him mature.

I would like to rid ourselves of Moochie and develope Frank. He can play both guard spots, and we need injury insurance besides penny. I am comfortable with Sweets and Sheed at the power forward. I will accept Timmy will get better and be our SF for a few years.

That team would have potential and need time to put it together. This team needs to make the playoffs to not piss off fans we gave up a lotto pick, and build a postive momentum for next year.

As funky as it may be, I don't see any chance for Kobe or Iverson. If we did, they would not have a team around them. I prefer Starbury over Iverson as my point. I could see Kobe for Iverson in a sign and trade. Iverson and Payton in the backcourt would make for nice reality tv.

grizzlies have a load of talent, and those players will soon be asking for money when their contracts expire. They will not let swift walk for nothing, they will combine all their talent like mike miller, swift , and jayson williams for AI.....just setting an example

they will determine who they want to keep on with them for their future then trade the others as assets for a star player in return.
if anyone is moronic anough to sign swift to the midlevel exception, the grizzlies will match because he is a restricted free agent. remember ricky davis a couple years back, he was matched by the cleveland cavs and couldnt make it to the Wolves.

As much as hubie brown likes this uptempo style player with high energy and a large rotation, it wont work forever, because the talent he has on his roster will be hungrily seeking for more money, remember they are seeking their first big contracts....

they have jerry west, they are certainly smart enough to look for an all star talent in return to what they can offer...draft picks and skilled players that are possibly gonna be offered contracts too
i expect a grizzlies to talk to teams about tmac, AI, maybe even dampier(not a star, but a legit center is hard to find)

grizzlies currently have posey, miller, battier, and wells which player at the same positions
they drafted 2 pgs last year and have jason williams and watson
they have swift, big jake ,bo outlaw, playing the 5

they are a complete team already, look forward for them to upgrade their players in the positions, but it seems like gasol will remain part of the glue for now...

Offer Moochie to Boston for Chucky Atkins. We need a 3pt specialist off the bench and Chucky has been very clutch for Boston lately. We may have to give up more than Moochie to get him but lets see how dumb Ainge really is.

The players we are most likely to trade by the way are Deke+Othella+Cezary because they're excess big men with ending contracts next season (Deke has another yr at 1.3mil) totalling over $9 million. So we can get b ack about 10million in salary in a trade of all of the above, maybe in a three-way deal with Deke going to a contender out west (Dallas? SA?) and Othella and Cezary going to a team desperately to shed Salary. Stay tuned, Isiah's not done. Throw the MLE at Stromile. Trade KT only for Rasheed.

And hold onto Shandon, he's a decent defender and more important as a future building block - don't laugh - he'll be worth something in two years as an ending salary. That, and the fact that no one wants to trade for him.

I see him as a Golden Stae Warrior someday,
