Our Knicks, the Heat and Clevleand seem to be on the rise.
At the same time Boston, Philly, and Raps are on the downturn while the Hornets are being replaced by an expansoin team.

Looks to me like the good old days of Knicks and Heat playoff battles are not over the mountains. It is pretty funny how the fates of Heat and NY seem to be forever linked. We suck and the suck. We are getting better and so are they. We are even tied with identical records so far this year.

Cleveland is making Silas look like a genius and Lebron like a superman. However, I pesonally think its big Z's overlooked monster numbers that make the ultimate difference.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

Lots of stuff is going right w/ the Cavs... the difference is obviously Lee Nailon, who keeps getting re-signed by Silas in spite of their "differences" last season on the Hornets.

What's not to like about their team? They have a premier center (statistically great, and one of the tallest in the east), the up and coming workhorse Boozer, a decent PG in McInnis, the Lebron show... plus some quality depth with Eric Williams and Battie... Moving forward a year with that team, and everyone is still young, but a bit more experienced having been involved in a playoff race (regardless if they make it or not).

Miami needs some big man help badly. I don't know what's wrong w/ Brian Grant--- he's playing like a chump. Is he burned out? A journeyman center would do wonders for this team. Add that piece, and you have a pretty nice talented team.

How about us? Well... we're under a lot of pressure for Tim Thomas, Mohammed, Sweetney to improve from within. For us to take advantage of TT at SF, we need to have two guys at PF/C that demand attention--- that way we can use the inevitable size mismatches to our advantage. For us to improve, TT needs to develop into a poor man's Garnett or Odom... a lot of pressure for a player who at 6'10" has never averaged 5 boards in a season. Maybe he's a late bloomer.

And we're hoping that Rasheed remains true to his word and comes to us as a FA. Frank Williams remains a nice trading commodity with his flashes of brilliance this year. Still... I have a hard time believing we're as good as the Cavs in terms of starting lineups... depth will have to be our strength.

right. It's amazing to notice how the league is changing into under the radar screen. Most of people still have their eyes on the West, as if the power would be forever there. There are cycles in this game, next one is about to start.

we should be ready to go.
