Andray Blatche has agreed in principle to a one-year contract at the veteran minimum with the Brooklyn Nets, Marc Spears of Yahoo! reports.
This story has been brewing for quite some time and it looks like the Nets were willing to take a chance on Blatche. The Nets have an improved roster and the former Wizard will battle Mirza Teletovic for bench minutes at power forward. Blatche has gone on hot stretches before, so he might be someone to watch in training camp.

Damn we couldve had him!!! Esp for the mini vet
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

so what happens now that N*ts in NYC?

can we say "he wanted to be here", but "Not here"?

I think his final choice was N*ts and Heat but we have such a glaring need for a back up at the forward spot I can't imagine we could not give him minutes.

I know. Thats what bothers me. If he sign for 3-5mil i could understand why we didnt get him. But they signed him for the mini vet salary...geez!

Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

Friend that worked for the Wiz used to tell me he was one of the biggest pieces of **** he ever met. The last thing we need is guys like that no matter what the bargin. The locker room wasn't a picture of.strength last season. No headache.needed

And when amare goes out for a month melo shifts to the 4 fulltime but we still need another pf. Sean williams or even kmart would be nice.

Kurts days of playing 10min a night ended 2yrs ago. He was only in the deal for money reasons and nostalgia and maybe player coach.

Not too actually contribute on the court.

No more jeremy lin to carry the team when amare and melo go down remember

Kurt Thomas averaged 15 minutes a game a season ago, but who's counting.

Crazy eyes can still stick a mid range J and pull a board here or there if I recall.

can't see why not. Doubt his jump shot went anywhere and Kurt was always money running the pick-n-pop. He's still a good defender (or was 2yrs ago...doubt much has changed) in the post. I can see crazy eyes getting 10min a game depending on match-ups.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

He was 37-38. Now he is 40. I see KT getting 10mins every 2 weeks or so

I don't know if his play really slipped that much from two seasons ago, but he was a more than solid contributor with the Bulls in 2010-11. 4 and 6 in 22 mpg. last year 3 and 3.5 in 15mpg, but for the Bucks. he's just going to be asked to get tough rebounds, not put the team on his back. he can still play albeit in a limited role. if he's on the court with JR and Novak I'm not going to want him to shoot anyway

He's not a game changer. No matter where he goes he won't be the reason why we lose to that opponent.
