The Linofiles are going to love this.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

Haha love that he's the first thing you see when you go to that link!

ESPN just drumming up page hits as usual is all.

Anyone recall "Chink in the Armor"? Nah ESPN is not an attention whore of a company...nyuh huh.

Fact that he made espn front page after a loss should tell you all you need to know about letting a 23yr old special talent walk for nothing

Expectations are likely to be at "Linsanity" levels. I get the vote.

Joe Johnson because of his contract.

Bynum does not make sense.

Felton? Because he has to fill Lins shoes?

Kidd?

Weird list. It's like a Knicks bash-a-thon. Ex-knicks Lin, Landry, Craw and our top two PG's in top 8 here.

Notice how the comment was made while he was on Knicks and they were the talk of the town? Now they're hating on the Knicks for not keeping him so that they could hate on the Knicks even more.

espn is a joke. All they did was question lin during the entire offseason. Talking about it was only 25games, he "refused" to play in the playoffs to protect his money. Now they bash the knicks for letting lin walk for nothing. I absolutely knew that was coming. I would not expect anything less from espn

It confirms to me that the Knicks did the right thing by not forking over $15 mill based on 24 games. As time went on his stats decreased. I could not stand watching him get beat by Mario Chamers, Deron Williams and others for another season.
He's also turnover machine.

Cash-does it matter how often it happens? We have a window to win a title. Can't let in demand young layers leave for nothing.

The choice came down to sign him or let him walk and we let him walk. How in demand is Lin anyway? He only met with the Rockets because they were the the only team he felt it was worth meeting with. Other teams, like the Mavs, showed interest but obviously he didn't like what he was hearing.

The contract had a poison pill for a reason. Houston did what they felt it would take to get their man and it worked. Seriously, $5 mil, $5 mil, $14.8 mil. Had the Knicks matched and the kid doesn't pan out we don't have many options.

There's a big difference between being the man for 7 games and being the man for 82. Time will tell whether we screwed up by letting him walk but I'm comfortable with Felton running the show.

We don't have many options anyway. By letting Lin walk we actually reduced our options even more.

Let's play make believe. It's the offseason and shunpert has decided he may test the market. Would you prefer your team position themselves to close a deal early? Be in position to sign and trade? Let him walk. Now players do walk all the time. It happens all the time and is never the end of the world but....if you have a supposed three year window you better get something in return. Can't afford to squander assets

In my this isn't a big deal just like trading away first round picks isn't a big deal

Why isn't Ian Begley fired? That guy can't talk straight and is annoying as hell. I'd assume after the Chink in the Armor thing he'd be fired for writing that by now... although personally I don't think he's racists at all, just a dumbphuk writer-reporter-wannabe
