It would be awesome to see him defy age and pitch great again in MLB.

Oh my goodness gracious
If you are still following the team and reading sites like this, there is nothing, short of your own demise, that is going to throw you off this train.

Yeah, pitching for the Sugar Land Skeeters does seem beneath him. He seems like a pathetic old guy who can't find anything to fill his time.

Why would this be awesome? It would have been awesome if he was never allowed to pitch again.

Players like he and Bonds defiled baseball.

Enough with the steroids witch hunt. Most likely, more than half of MLB was taking steroids. It was the norm and it wasn't properly tested against for a long time. So, with that being said, let it go. I don't get why so many people take personal offense and vilify the players who used steroids.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

The Knicks should sign him. He can hang out with Kidd and Camby on the shuffleboard court.

That is not an excuse. There were followers and leaders - he was a leader. He brought it upon himself and has only himself to blame. And, Clemens was always a prick so I do not feel bad for him at all.

I will continue to respect players like Jeter who did not defile the game. Maybe I will just appreciate the players in the half that stayed clean.

Do you feel the same way about Bonds?

Instead of mobb deep the second unit could be called old sage and onions

I hear what you're saying, but I'm just tired of hearing about it. It overshadows the game sometimes and it's well... ridiculous. Steroids didn't make players have better control. It extended careers, made fastballs a little faster and added some homeruns, I acknowledge this. But it doesn't make crappy players into good players. It sometimes turns very good players into great players. So, we should put it in perspective.

Also, what's the criteria to say who stayed clean and who didn't? It's all conjecture. Jeter stayed clean because he didn't hit a lot of home runs? So, everyone who hits home runs is instantly on steroids? This is what has really defiled the game - the witch hunt.

One thing I hate about the whole roids issue is that now ALL players are under suspicion. As Jeter is hitting .320 at 38 many are going to question whether he's taking something.

I love baseball and there is no doubt in my mind that roids has a huge effect on player performance. It will make a scrub average, average a star and a star into a human video game.
