Good for Jorts. I hope he sticks in Miami. Too bad about the stupid NBA rules blocking us from resigning him. The new CBA is pure BS IMO. I think all the crap these owners tried to do just ends up making things bad in a different area. They never really seem to make the league better only more complicated.

I wish we were allowed to re-sign him, but I do wonder if the whole Jorts Nick name and his personality played more of a part in his popularity than his actual game. He wasn't any good after returning from injury, but then he did play well in the playoffs.

Did we have to include him to make the contracts numbers work? Same with Jordon. Both cut and both we could have used.

Jorts was a pretty good player for us. A bit disheartening if he gets a ring with Miami, like our center from last year did :-(

Some of the best defensive plays and stops last yr were from Jorts. He has good defensive instincts for a rookie doesnt get faked out and leave his feet. He is going to be pretty useful for the Heat. Way more than curry and turiaf

Here's hoping he latches on somewhere other than Miami. Otherwise, he will be the only Heat player I will have ever rooted for (hope for a strong welcome back from the MSG crowd).

I agree Jorts will do better than those guys, especially since he can also hit the 3. Don't see him making a big difference though. Sorry he went to the Heat of all teams.

Sometimes I think Riley makes some moves just to stick it to the Knicks, hope we return the favor next season. Camby chose us over the Heat where he stood a good chance of getting a ring because of his loyalty to NY. We got the better player, even if he is in the last stage of his career.

I don't think there was ever a player that played for the knicks when the rivalry was thick and ended up on the heat..

Thats Taboo

I'm pretty sure Riley would if he could. Riley likes signing former Knicks, two of them on the Heat right now, maybe three. Curry has a ring, I'm sure Riley gets a kick out of that considering Curry's history with NY.

Does eddy have a ring? It thought the team has to vote on it?

Looks like he is signing a non guaranteed 1 year deal with the Heat- he tweeted he's going there for 'hopefully the next 9 months'.
