wasn't expecting the grey to bother me at all, but now that I can actually see the unis, the grey does bother me.

The piping (or lack thereof) looks a lot better when someone is in them. I hate it on the mannequin but really like how that looks on Chandler and Amar'e.

And, is it just me, or does the blue uni look significantly better than the white? I think it's the blue belt... the orange belt looks good. The blue belt just straight up dominates the white white unis. The orange belt seems more complimentary

The orange belt looks better because the numbers are orange, they should of made the numbers on the white uniform blue

Look at that pic of Stat and Tyson with Tina (who is looking foine as usual): they have orange sleeves. The blue belt looks weird, they should have made it orange.

EDIT: This picture however doesn't look as bad. I think I get what they are trying to do. Maybe the cut is tighter? Or does Amar'e just like wearing extra young shirts?

But let's see how it looks in a fastbreak, already! And the Noche Latina and St. Patrick's versions, of course... ah... they shoulda just went back to the 1970 joints for the anniversary.

Haha, the city name altered so it can be popped more easily, and the belt added for Novak's move, which is in the NBA 2K13 intro, apparently. I hope Novak's belt is gold.

Here is a sobering thought:

This was the logo used during our only two championships. Maybe we should roll back to that!

That's More Like It

The uniforms pictured in the September 7 fashion press conference (modeled by Tyson and Amar'e) appear to be replicas. The uniforms worn by players for today's media day have bolder numerals on front and the horizontal spacing between New York and the numeral is different. The white outline on the replicas is replaced by a stronger blue outline. The "New York" lettering also holds up better in the joints the players will wear. It also appars to be bolder and with a taller height.

The blue waistband could have been accented with an embroidered NYK logo at the front buckle.

You look good, you play good.

VCoug - you rock.

One other detail that separates the authentic game joints from the replicas is the base fabric has an off-white finish. The white outline of the numerals gives away the contrast from the chalky white replicas from the initial preview.

The first time I saw Dave DeBusschere play in person, the glow of the Garden lights gave his home uniform a faint yellow-gold tint. It made him look more like a superhero. Like an expensive suit, the sheen of this fabric seems to have the same potential effect.

Interesting.

That one was my favorite, used to have a bunch of those t shirts when I was a kid. Long past time to change the logo, never liked it. Becoming contenders again might inspire them to do it.

Then explain how the Mavs won a title.

Big Blue

The Knicks practice jersey makes me think that the orange on the unis is too overdone. Would it be cool to have a home uni with the "New York" in blue trimmed in orange with blue numerals. On the back, The name lettering is in orange with the numerals on the back in blue. The blue waistband on the shorts now becomes more consistent with the palette. And while we're at it, we can paint the foul line area blue, like back in the day.

Dump the orange. Blue feels more like the nightlife of Broadway and brings more class to the joint.

Thoughts?
