Financially this was a bad decision no doubt. Whether Lin is really better than Felton is a different story. He seemed like a scoring PG to me, which is not what we need on this team. Just being realistic. Marbury could do everything Lin did for example, and do it better. Would he work on a team with Melo and Amare? Questionable.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

I saw Lin elevate the play of steve novak and even landry fields. I think Lin is a playmaker who just needs more seasoning. His penetration gets you open looks on offense

Casmoney - Lin opened up the overseas markets and yes, he was a top Jersey seller. It was plain stupid and personal letting him go. An article a few months back estimated Lin brought in an extra 10 - 20 million to the Knicks last year. Sellots are only one revenue source, but I don't want the argument to be one about money. Losing him as a talent is my concern.

Simrud - Lin has a very high IQ and it carries over to the court, easy to see. Please don't bring Statbury into this, he made no one better. We just lost our 2nd or 3rd best scoring option AND or best pg in years. He made others better.

We still have a very good team just not as good as it could have been. This is about winning, nothing more.

There is only one Lin and 3 billions asian people to potentially wanting his jersey...
20 millions is nothing.
One contract with one major Asian TV station will cover this Lins contract 3-fold.

Dolan is wealthy enough to not have bother with little people like you finding discounts for him to save money, and offering recommendations for the closest 99 cent store in your neighborhood. In case you forgot, you are part of the 99%, and are not in the 1% with Dolan. Don't get all uppity, you need to be born with money.
