Because he is at his absolute best when he gets to take control of the game. During his Linsanity run, he was out there running plays like a leader, putting up shots like a boss and damn near broke all KINDS of record in such a short time span. He averaged 19.7 PPG before the injury.

As a Houston Rockets, he GETS to be that JEREMY LIN again. Controlling the tempo/taking shots/distributing the ball without any DISTRACTIONS. The whole floor is his to command.

Even if Rockets have nobody else for Lin to rely on, he'll pretty much take matters in his own hand and score 40 pts on his own and you know he will. He'll score 20 to 30 Points a game each time. He is a pure shooter. He loves to penetrate the lane. He loves to score and he loves the attention. Don't pay any attention to his humble nature. He LOVES the attention and he is hungry for it when he gets to be that guy on the floor who commands the flow of the game.

We should fear him now that he basically have his OWN team. And I am willing to bet that he's going to come into MSG with a vengeance. If there is only game on J.Lin's mind, it is going to be THAT first game against the NYK. Don't even try to imagine what the ratings will be like for that Rockets vs NYK game.

Fear This

Syniko - do you fear Lebron?

Jeremy Lin's Rockets jersey has a bulleye on it the size of a helicopter landing pad. He better have a good cut man in his corner.

Dr Ferdie Pacheco was one of the best.

syniko- Do you fear Lin or fear regret?

I hope the guy comes in and has a monster game but rockets lose.

The end of linsanity had to happen and Miami was incredible with its switching defense.

This is how you learn and he got a lesson. Are we so naive to think ever team would play him like Miami and Lin, the Knicks or the Rockets would not adjust?

Was the game Lin vs. the Miami 5?

We had no answer to the speed by which they defended Lin at that moment and Lin got him a teaching moment. Maybe that was ok by MDA in that the game was not winnable on that nite and Lin had to learn there would be a defense for Linsanity. LIke a young QB seeing an NFL blitz for the first time. Its one thing to see tape on it and practice. Its another to FEEL IT IN A GAME. THe young Jedi had to feel it before he knows what to do.

Oh come on, he is not a pure shooter. I think he will improve over time, but to say he's a pure shooter at this point is ridiculous! Man, you've been watching youtube highlight clips for too long- he looks a much better shooter in those (100%!) than he actually was with us. He's got good form on his jumper, but he's very streaky.

Also have you actually looked at the roster of Jeremy Lin's team? His center is Asik! Now he's the man, other teams will just zero in on him like they did during that Linsanity stretch- it's going to be tough for him all season long with that supporting squad. He lasted, what 25 games with us before it took it's toll, I'm worried about how he'll hold up over a whole season.

I am interested to see how good Lin is or isn't next season, part of me wants to see him do well, but that's negated by the fact we'll never hear the end of it. It'll be fun to watch Felton vs Lin in that Rockets game- both of them should be up for it, trying to prove something.

You want to know why I don't fear Jeremy Lin?

Not the fact that we only play Houston twice.

Not the fact that they're still a lottery team.

Not the fact that we have a very capable point guard rotation on hand.

...but because of

(Yes I know he'll be out this year for the Houston games, and Lin is taking a sigh of relief.)

I don't think we should fear our opponents. We should respect them, but we should not fear them.
FIX THE KNICKS / AND MAKE THEM SHINE / GET ’EM TO WIN LIKE ITS ’69 / HITTIN’ ALL THEIR FREE THROWS / AND NO MORE SHOOTING BRICKS / TIME TO GET IT RIGHT / AND FIX THE KNICKS
