The Lockout did get Lin from Knicks to the rockets which gave Lin a ton of money and the rockets the abilty to gain a "Starphuch" attraction to its business.
Im not saying it was a good move for anyone but the extra tax now levied on teams if they go over gave the Rockets the leverage to go big and ****block the knicks.
Is it fair? Its legal so it "Must be".
Bottom line is players rarely go free agent and are going in trade. Bynum and Dwight say they are going FA so we'll see if they actually make it. I think Dwight will be impressionable and resign with LA. I doubt he has the stones to continue the DwightMare. Bynum likely wanted max money and the reality is someone would have given it to him (Rockets/Mavs will have space) and I think Dwight is a better investment. IF they lose Dwight for nothing, its possible they feel they could have lost Bynum too so net-net (relax its a figure of speach, not subliminal message!)they are no worse for trying.
I'd rather hand the keys to the franchise to Dwight than Bynum.
