who knows with this team. this team has a 100mm payroll and they are no better than any eastern conference crp team. in fact they are going to be light years behind the cavs and heat going forward, discounting good teams like detroit indiana and NJ who are all young enough to stay up there for 3-4 years.

we need a C a real c not a 6-10 248 pound guy. we need a reliable back up 2G PG

can we get Troy Hudson Kosta Perovic and Rodney White this offseason?

4 year MLE Troy Hudson
2 year LLE Rodney White

KT and expiring contracts +#mm+2nd rounders for something like pick 9 and a bad contract

That would leave us at

C- Nazr Perovic
PF Baker Sweetney
SF Thomas White Andersen
SG H2o hudson White
PG Starbury Hudson

INCREDIBLE!!! You actually think a 9th pick in the draft would do more for us than Kurt Thomas? He has his shortcomings... but at least he produces and we know how we can rely on him.
ANNNDD you want to give picks....
ANDDDD you want to take a bad contract back? geeez... I'm glad your not the GM... We'd realy be up a creek without a paddle...

Once you get above the top 4 or 5 picks in a draft.. it is a lottery.. A guy can develop to be a superstar or a dud. There are second rounders who have developed into stars as well...

"we need a C a real c not a 6-10 248 pound guy"

So does 25 other teams. First of all how can you evaluate our current team? Sorry.. you need more than a couple weeks before you can get a feel for where this team is. Sometimes it takes a group longer. Let me see this group start a season relatively healthy, with a training camp together, with some kind of consistant rotation for 50 games and we can better judge where we are.

3 years ago the Pistons were 32-50. They hired Rick Carlisle and added Cliff Robinson. Next year they were 50-32. That came from patience and not panicking.

Obviously we have some needs, but we arent the Rangers as you would have us believe. We are build around a 26 year old all star, not a 40 year old one, or one with 10 concussions. We have some young players in the fold, we have a situation other players want to come to, and we have finances that allow us to make moves where other would not be able to.

Brigg's thinking is whatever risk you take to get a franchise center (in Kosta) is worth it, because without one your destined for mediocrity.

I partially agree, at least in that we need to take some risks to turn this thing around.

Briggs has a point.

Perhaps the team needs time to jell, but they are not much better than last years record in a weak division.

Things are much better, but we paid a price. But are they THAT much better to take us over the top, and not land us back here n 3 years with a older, bloated contract type of team.

Both Briggs and Isiahs ways are both "Right", but one is short term oriented.

Denver has a present, and a nice future with a blend of good vets and great youth. Chicago tried to do too much at one time, and got fleeced in trades. Jaelen rose trade was awful! Clippers are a mess, and the Warriors have a cheap owner also.

No one way to do it, but I would have blown the mother up and started with young players. Cablevision got a 75% boost in viewership with a team that is interesting, but lets be real, not really contenders yet.

We could make a run and come together, or its just about the ratings.

Its still the evil Dolan.

think outside the bun. kt's value has dropped from it's high of 4 weeks ago. kt is so vastly over-rated by some it's insane. we need a C a REAL C a real long C and I think 1 could be there between 8-14. Let Nazr start and let the youngin play sweetney minutes. put baker back at PF and utilize Sweetney more and more. Try to get a big man as the bad contract for depth--calvin booth???

troy hudson would be an impact 6th man and a real need. 3-4 years at 5mm would get him and we need him.

rodney white is my pet project otherwise keep the money and get a Bobby Sura for the vets s minimum

you are not rebuilding you are retooling--by the way we have no chance in hll to win the nba title next year or likely for many years we wont even have a chance to get out of the east with lebron as the new mikeee

think C because that is a way of becoming good long term. KT is not going to do anything for this team.
