What does it take to win gold at FIVE consecutive Games? Herculean.

Not much. Got tickets to handball and archery. They did a lottery for all tix, to ensure as many people as possible got to see something.

At least Ill get to see the stadium, park and athletes. Im doing policing duties there over the Games.

I am watching China vs Spain, Yi is looking pretty good.
It got me thinking, about Copeland.

Copeland vs Adam Morrison/Yi

Yi has never met his potential, he is a tweener closer to the PF, that is very mobile especially for his size like JJ, decent athleticism/length, and a good shot if he gets squared up.
While he isn't as good as JJ's defense, he does have to mobility/speed/quickness that JJ has, even slightly more mobile/athletic, but not nearly as smart and good defensively.
His biggest problem is never being able to be consistent, especially with limited minutes.

Morrison, has the best shot out of the 3, but he often tries to shoot off the dribble, which isn't in his strengths.
He is probably very similar to Copeland with a weaker "big man" game.

While Copeland is the cheapest out of the 2, both Morrison and Yi have had experience in the league, and are both catch and shoot players like Copeland.
I think Copeland has the slight advantage of the 2 with rebounding/post up moves/ and playing a big man game, but he will have to adjust much, without a taste of the NBA game.

We currently do not have players that can guard versatile 4's.
Players like Kevin Love, Dirk, Durant, Lebron, even some versatile 3/4s like AK47, Gereld Wallace, etc.
Even players like Ibaka, Moultrie, Bosh, Nene, etc....
Losing a player like JJ really hurts our defense, because Tyson Chandler/Camby are both rebounders/shot blockers, but cannot step out of the paint like JJ can.
While Jeffries, is not a stat player, he is very mobile for a 6'10 player that plays very solid defense.

But when playing a combination of Jeffres and Tyson/Camby, they are not offensive threats, and need a strong player that could penetrate to create shots, which I feel Felton is average at best.
Without a player that penetrate of the dribble outside of Felton really worries me.
Having a player that break down defenses, cause double/triple teams, and create open looks for others.

I don't think Copeland has the footwork/speed to go outside to contend outside of the 3point line.
I think there is a role for him on the team, but there are still many of weaknesses on our roster, with only possible 1-2 roster spots.

I think if James White doesn't show he can contribute, he could be cut as our weakest link, to answer some of these holes.
With the addition of Brewer, I don't know if he can even find minutes, even without Iman in the lineup.
I expect Kidd to also be contributing minutes at SG and sometimes SF at times, with a 3 guard lineup.

Don't get too excited. Yi always reps for the Chinese national team. People get excited only to see him revert back to form. Juan Navarro and Rudy Fernandez who get amped for their national teams, but under perform in the NBA.

Always... always remember: Less is less. More is more. More is better and twice as much is good too. Not enough is bad, and too much is never enough except when it's just about right. - The Tick
