First time I thought about this as our starting five...
Yeah, this group is physically strong to some degree (You seem to be counting Anthony and Amare as "strong," but both are inconsistent as post defenders.), but this is, arguably, one of the worst outside shooting teams in the league, by the way. We don't have guys willing and able to hang out on the outside and consistently make shots.
Am I the only one who gets the feeling that if this is our starting lineup for much of the season it is one of the most unbalanced starting squads in the league?
All you guys who screamed at Fields, are now getting a terrible offensive player in Brewer. His man will be dropping off him to harass Anthony or Amare on a regular basis.
Chandler has yet to prove he can do anything on offense but be part of a pick and roll. Felton has a reputation as being an ineffective shooter, and his pick and role ability will be compromised by the fact that teams will be packing it in on D and clogging up the middle.
This is a squad that is going to have a lot of trouble scoring against good defenses, so we had better step it up when we are on the defensive end.
And yeah, I realize that I am a nattering nabob of negativism.
