I have to admit pablo impressed me with his ability find guys and set them up in good spots especially against NBA's best players. I mean he is not a guy who is gonna take it to the hole at 35 years old but i think he is a good pg to have for depth.

I am not saying he isn't a good pickup but playing with EURO STYLE BALL, consist of 4 to even 5 shooters, that can spread the floor, player movement, and ball movement without "all star" mentality.
Also, the 3point line is closer than the NBA regulation, same with The Olympics. We also need 2 players on the court that can penetrate at all times, or one extremely good one that penetrate/finish strong.
Without 2 players that penetrate, I believe we must play 4 shooters that can hit the 3point efficiently with good spacing. |

Basketball Is Basketball (And Neither James Harden or Derek Rose Are Walking Through That Door)
RonRon - I am not saying he isn't a good pickup but playing with EURO STYLE BALL, consist of 4 to even 5 shooters, that can spread the floor, player movement, and ball movement without "all star" mentality. RonRon - sheesh, what ARE you saying? You could be overthinking Pablo's brand of hoops to the point your verbosity confuses both you and your readers at the same time. In case you missed it, Prigioni and his Argentinian homeys gave the handpicked NBA "All Stars" all they could handle. We also need 2 players on the court that can penetrate at all times, or one extremely good one that. Who, other than Lebron, are you talking about? Nobody drives the lane at will. D Wade pays a heavy price for the extra contact. To be able to attack a strong defense, you need a combination of players that can penetrate, shooters to spread the floor for the lane, and players movement off the ball, while moving the ball at the same time. Nah, you simply need an offense you can run in your sleep. No matter what the other side throws at you. We have three experienced guards who can all be trusted with leadership. Long live The Pep Boys. once a knick always a knick

But yeah he looked good and will be a good add. TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

Pablo will be a great pickup for us. Seeing how Team USA pressured every teams guards EXCEPT argentina makes me believe he will be huge for us. You think Pablo will get the Lin treatment from the heat? or any other team that pressures him full court or traps off screens? I also think he will be able to drive to the hoop better than he has in FIBA basketball. The NBA rules does not allow handchecking.

Amazing
AnubisADL wrote:Expecting nothing from this guy. 3rd string PG at best. Let me get this straight. Argentina is led by Prigioni against a handpicked team of NBA superstars coached by the best basketball minds on the planet. Prigioni plays 33 minutes and drops 8 points on 2-4 shooting (two threes), six assists, five rebounds, a steal, and just two turnovers. Argentina plays an effective game, despite the fact USA could not miss in the first quarter. Argentina hung close and pulled within 6 points at the end, before they eased off the gas pedal in the final minute. And AnubisADL expects nothing from Prigioni? Imagine what he expects from Ronnie Brewer. once a knick always a knick
