Now that the asian sensation has departed, leave it to the yankees to capitalize on the Asian markets.

Ichiro for 2 unheralded prospects and seatle pays a couple of million of Ichiro's last year (17m).

Love the move!

Ichiro is close to done but it's a decent pickup considering they gave up nothing for him.

Being die hard Knicks fans is the price we pay for being Yankee and Giants fans. Hard to complain unless Knicks are your heart and sould and head and shoulders above all teams you root for, which is my case.

Yes. G-Men are my heart and soul. Yankees are boring me already with so much winning and PED's. Also, there will always be another asterisk there with the outspending. 96 was sports heaven though.

Being a Jets/Mets/Knicks/Ranger fan is quite the sports hell

Great move. Sort of like the Knicks bringing in older, veteran talent. Will fill a void for the Yanks and give them the backpage. Will boost their ratings and ticket sales also.

Ichiro is really bad on offense at this point in his career. He's actually bottom 20 in the league in both on base and slugging percentages.

Life is good.

Especially when surrounded by deranged hockey fans who don't even know what NBA stands for, and pathetic Phillies and Eagles fans. With the occassional Cowboy fan thrown in for good measure.

Go Ichiro! Funny, he had to get a shave. I like the move, although this reminds me of when we picked up Pudge Rodriguez at the end of his warranty period too...

I didn't realize how old Ichiro was, still its a good move. Very classy to bow to his fans in Seattle the way he did and for the Yanks to follow suit.
