I have to admit i didnt know much about this player. The scouting report is that hes an athletic 6-6sg/sf who needs to consistently play defense and work on his jumper.

Here are some highlights:

Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

I would prefer Delfino because Weems is not a legit 3point threat.
But with just the vet minimum to offer, Weems is a realistic target, and is athletic defender that plays doesn't need the ball to be effective.
I think he is much better than White but isn't complete like Delfino.
I honestly think White aka Flight isn't worthy of a roster spot and Weems would fill White's role on our bench.
White didn't seem very athletic at all, while Weems is still young and has the athleticism that we seek.

Watching White aka Flight unable to dominate and out of shape in Summer League, doesn't give me much confidence in his abilities.
I think Terrence Williams, Weems, Brewer all would be by 2nd options.
Raja Bell is a player that would fit but is quite undersized and old.

Dionte Christmas would a great player to add that is on Celtics Summer League.
With the depth at Celtics at SG, G, he would get a much better shot to have in impact on our roster with our hole at the starting SG spot.

Sonny makes us a heck of a lot more athletic, the dude can sky and he's competitive. I would be really happy with that signing.

I really wanna add this guy and give him minutes behind JR and Melo even when Shumpert comes back

Anthony/Shumpert/Smith/Novak/Weems is deadly on the wings

Weems > White

Thing is White is just happy to be in the NBA. Same for Copeland.

Minutes are going to be tight. You have to figure we are going to roll with an 8 to 10 man rotation.

Melo, Amare, Chandler, Felton, Smith, Kidd, Camby, Novak, and Shumpert. Not going to be a lot of minutes left over. We need guys who can play spot minutes and not complain. White and Copeland fit the bill.

He's tentative and has absolutely no jumper to speak of. I'll pass. If Fields caught all that heat I can only imagine the beating Weems will take from the fans.

Wouldn't mind. It's like getting Landry Fields back with better free throw shooting.

Totally agree about White vs Sonny Weems, from what I saw of him in the Summer League, he looks like a completely different player that we saw on the highlights, youtube clips, and dunk contests we saw of "FLIGHT"
Hopefully he was just out of shape, but we will see, give him a couple months to get in shape I guess.
