A. Not very.

“(Lin's contract) is kind of ridiculous in terms of the structure. I don’t think in terms of Jeremy’s value that it’s ridiculous. I think everybody knows that. He’s very valuable"

How many times are you going to troll about this?

Don't you have more playoff predictions in 23 win seasons to make?

I guess opinions from actual Knicks players isn't as important as fan opinion?

Interesting that players for the Knicks are not as distraught as "fans."

What do you expect them to say? Besides, I don't care about what players think about roster moves; if I ever did Isiah Thomas cured me of that.

Steve Novak said what Melo meant.

Steve Novak said what Melo meant.

He said what Melo said the second time and what was clearly meant the first time he spoke. The unedited quotes was clear and even his tone was clear what message Melo was trying to say but reporters want stories and do not care if they are true or false.

Anyway, it doesn't matter because we all know Steve never liked playing with Lin and is a CAA drone who just want to be on the team so he will carry the company's water or else he will be shipped out by Melo.

Players should not be talking about salaries or contract structures of their coworkers under ANY circumstances. I wish these idiots would learn to STFU.

It's much more difficult to STFU in our day and age, every remark gets regurgitated through every channel possible. But I agree with you still

I agree. They should not talk about other player's salaries. It's not their business.

Yeah but that's the point if they just say "no comment" there is nothing to regurgitate.

"No comment" would turn into "Dolan not allowing players to talk about Lin's contract."

An organization is not supposed to allow it's workers to talk about other worker's salaries. Are you arguing for te sake of argument?

No, I just think it's absurd that any player who is asked about the contract and gives and honest opinion should instead STFU. In Lin's case he's no longer an employee of the Knicks he's a former employee.

Landry Fields gave his opinion on the Lin's contract during the SL game yesterday. Where's the outrage towards Fields giving his opinion? I guess he should have said no comment as well?

Yes he should have. Talking about what another palyer makes is none of his goddamned business. If you have an opinion about it then you need to keep it to yourself not babble to the media. I don't care how many players have doen this its still both stupid and wrong.

The thread's question is: How Upset Are Knicks Players That The Knicks didn't re-sign Lin?

The answer to this question and to how a teammate felt about the amount or structure of the contract are not the same thing.

Novak's was a fine response.

Can't remember which reporter did the article, but one Knicks' "insider" indicated that the only two players who did not seem to want Lin back were Anthony and Smith. Seems consistent with their comments on the contract, although you can't assume that because a teammate hated the contract they didn't want Lin back, or were happy when he became a Rocket.
