this team plays to the level of its competition.....still.

IMO, they have so much talent and yet they are not yet clicking. Marbury was not aggressive tonight. He needs to be aggressive for NY to win easy. I like the front court alot now. Even KT did an OK job tonight! Baker produces when on the court. Those fouls are just too much! This team needs HOuston out there and they need to play alot together.

this was a gritty win and it should not have been. They have 2 days to rest before NJ. I think the game will be close, but NY's defense is not there right now. To me the D is the thing hlding this team back right now.

I like the C rotation with Nazr and Vin. Deke will be sitting alot, when he returns.

I'm not sure that KVH is better than TT.

If TT would just assert himself, he would average 32. Dude has got some physical skills.

i hope that you're joking

Are you? KVH has come up small in the clutch throughout his career.

It shouldn't have been so close. Tim Thomas comes up with clutch free throws two games in a row. Marbury hit some clutch shots tonight, but almost blew it at the line. Its a good thing Thomas came through again. Tim Thomas just needs to give a consistent effort every minute and hit the boards. His pure talent level should make him a better player than KVH, but like KVH he has only shown flashes in his career. I hope he's picking it up. The way he's finished the last two games is very encouraging.

Bottom line is the let the Wiz shoot 49.4%. That shouldn't happen against such a bad team. They will need to pick up the D against the Nets.

Anyone watching MSG catch the St Patricks Day Irish accent that Al Trautwig was using during one of the halftime segments? Totally funny.

The Haters don't really like to come out when things go in the Knicks favor. The president of their lil pathetic club hasn't shown his face on here since we won against the Bucks... Seems to me that's the obvious sign of someone who only enjoys when bad things happen to our beloved Knicks. Every since KVH was proven a CHOKER the other night... all their cheesy postings about our downfall as a result of his trade have been proven moot and wrong.
Anyways... if you miss them.. they'll be back the minute the Knicks lose a game with their usual rhetoric... either that or the one king idiot (you know who you are) will just simply choose one of many nicknames he uses to express the many different points of views he seems to have.
Anyways.. Good win tonight.

Allan Houston is like an old woman

good win

why the hell was it so close.. lol the wizards suck

we would really be gearing up for the playoffs with a nice stretch of close games, if only the playoffs was full of mediocre teams like the ones we're playing.. OH WAIT.. IT IS!!!! lol
why do the wiz suck?

arenas is good, locked marbury down pts wise with some nice d.
stack is a good SG
they are young but talented in the front court. and athletic.

tell me why they suck... besides their record. they can challenge teams often. i think they'll be a top east team in 3 years if they grow together

Brendan Haywood was a monster in College.
If he lives up to potential he'll be an All-Star one day.
Etan was also a force down low in Syracuse.
The Wizards have alot of talent that has yet to be developed.

they are kind of like the Knicks. New Coach, new PG, lots of injuries to key guys. They still have to find their mojo.

We just went to OT against the Wizards!!! If you want to make a jugdment about the team from such a win then go ahead. I have higher standars then this. Lenny put it best, this was an embrassment.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

Why the Wizards suck:
Their "starting" combo of Arena/Hughes/Stackhouse have only played *2* games together. They've been hampered by injuries all year and don't have the front-court quality or depth that the Knicks have.

Why the Knicks suck:
The Knicks have yet to develop any devensive chemistry with all of the changes to the rosters and injuries to key players. Somehow our team is capable of scoring in the 100s when we don't have particularly good flow on offense.

We have the #1 PG in the league statistically, a top-5 potential talent in TT... and unbelievable depth in "supposedly" quality players. Mutombo, Baker, Houston, and Hardaway are damaged goods who are past their prime.
A frontcourt of Baker/Mutombo/Mohammed/Thomas/Sweetney/Harrington should be able to overpower other teams.

We're now riding a 2-game winning streak with the chips on the table. Huge game against the Nets at home on Friday. It'll be interesting to see who we have chasing K-Mart and Jefferson.

The best thing to come out of this horrid game is the postgame team meating. These guys needed a reality check. Whatever choices Iseah has hame he will not stand for lack of effort. Maybe he will pan out after all, I have to amdit I'v been to hard on him latley. TT and Mohammed seem to be legit starters which makes the trade a sensible idea. Main thing is that they did not just let the players of the hook just cause we won. They ripped into them anyways. Which is great.
