I feel for any fan who has had to endure these last 12 years of garbage. Growing up watching the Knicks of the 90's was great. Every hyear they were in the playoffs and every year was memorable. Unfortunetly we never won a title but came so close. When i look at the team now i appreciate the 90's Knicks

I certainly do. Though 1993 hurts. 1994 hurts even more.

I was spoiled back tehn i used to get on them for choking against the bulls and the rockets. Now when i look at our two stars who have given us 1 playoff win in 2 years i appreciate how successful those guys were in th 90's

And yet, amusingly, the fans and media spent most of their time criticising them for exactly the same things they do now. Oh, the Knicks are a better team without Ewing! Ewing needs to come off the bench! Ewing is a selfish player! Allan Houston is too passive! He sucks at defense! John Starks is too inconsistent and is a chucker! LJ can't play with Ewing! We needs a PG! Chris child's sucks! Charlie ward sucks! John Wallace is a future all star, can't believe we traded him! Fire Van Gundy! He cant coach offense! The offense is too predictable- it's just dump it to Ewing! Ewing is a choker! Pat Riley betrayed us!

Ha those were good times, but we did spend more time complaining about stuff we're still complaining about rather than appreciating what we had. Ewing in particular got constant criticism and little praise back then.

I'll never forget watching Game 5 of the 94 Finals at my mom's summer after my college freshman year. TV couldn't have been bigger than 19 inches diagonally. So when the dumb ass OJ Bronco chase pushed the game into the corner I was pissed, sat a foot a way from the TV and tried to ignore it and pay attention to the game.

Another reason why i hate OJ other than the fact that he was a murderer

I think everyone here who witnessed the 90's Knicks misses them.

I remember starting 3rd quarter.. screen in screen.. then.. BAM.. full on white bronco, going steady on the road for 3-4 hours.. My buddies stopped making fun of me (they're all Lakers fans) because they could tell I was fuming inside.

Man do I remember the Knicks of the 90's from when the playoffs got interrupted by OJ, to Charles Smith missing the put backs and Starks dunking on Jordan and Grant left handed. Man did I hate MJ in those days.

I loved the 90's and thought that the Knicks would just continue to win and go deep into the playoffs.
