We don't want to cheer up. We want to be angry, and we want to set down our markers so we can be "right" about something or other later on down the line.

https:// It's not so hard.

You have oldies and you have injuries. No shocker. Those guys did make 9 out of 15 appearances - it's a little misleading to say we simply didn't have them.

Shump played 19 minutes in game 1. We could easily say that the Knicks were 1-4 with him as well. Of course, it's difficult to win without your starting PG.

That was simply a result of Melo stopping his whining and actually hustling and trying to win for his new coach.

Lin will do what it takes to win, He is smart and he is outperformed scouts predictions all along and he will continue because he is a winner. He will be a winner for another team and Knick fans will wonder how they can get a winner on their team after watching Melo lead them to 1st and 2nd round losses the next 3 years.

Except play in a playoff game after being cleared by the medical staff.

I am sure you know how it felt his knee. I personally don't know. What I do know is that it was not even 4 weeks after his surgery.

What about Melo, not even playing hard for 40 games just so he can get his coach fired?

Please that is just hype you are buying into. Character assassination.

Did you not watch the games?

We'll have to see, I guess. Time will tell. If we're not one of the top 4 seeds, this season is a failure. I really want the #2 seed. Since we downgraded at starting PG from what I initially expected, I'm going to pick us as #4 seed right now, while I initially had us battling and possibly winning #2 seed. Sad, but if we make it to the second round, I guess it's some progress.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Lin could've joined for the last two if he wanted to.

What happens when Kidd goes down? First round exit.

What Lin has that Felton does not have is creativity. Kidd has it and if he was 8 years younger, I would not mind giving up Lin as much.

I agree with you. I think we should've been a top 4 seed last season. I think we're marginally improved and have a shot at making the second round. I don't think we go further than that.

All quiet now? Here is one from Miami that says he was NOT cleared for game 5.

http://www.usatoday.com/sports/basketball/nba/story/2012-05-09/Jeremy-Lin-not-willing-to-risk-knee-setback/54861016/1

"I'm mostly worried about just not having to suffer a real setback, which would be a new knee injury," Lin said Wednesday morning in Miami, where the Knicks were preparing for a win-or-else Game 5 of their Eastern Conference first-round series against the Heat.

Your article in fact does not state that he wasn't cleared. And to be fair, neither does this one--though it does seem to imply it was Lin's decision to be cautious.

And I'm not even saying he was wrong in making this decision! I just think it's premature to say "Lin will do what it takes to win."

"It's going to be up to the doctors and Jeremy that makes that decision," Woodson said. "It won't be my decision … They've kind of been keeping close tabs on Jeremy in terms of his training now that he's back on the floor. They (doctors) will make the final decision."

As for my statement, dd he not make steals, set up teammates and make shots when needed?
When Melo came back and they played together for 6-7 games Lin took his game down a bit to let Melo play

Also in HS he led his team to a a state title. He led Harvard to the NcAa's. He has outperformed the expert predictions all along.

cheer up we did go 14-6 to finish the season without lin
